NAP 2021- Not Happening
 

Of course 2020 got shot down, and the word got out that the event was cancelled, but this year the website never changed!

I did some emailing and confirmed the event is not happening this year either.

I also found out the event webmaster unexpectedly passed away so the website is "frozen" I dont know if the event got the password to get in or not so nudes a poppin may stay forever frozen.

Many of you enjoyed the even and posted pics. Maybe this thread can be a tribute to it. I suspect it may never come back. :(

Does this mean that Nudes a poppin will never ever return. Not even in year 2022?

Its hard to say. Many who have attended over the years have seen it go downhill. We HOPE it will be back, but....!

There are several other events scheduled for this summer. Unfortunately none are camera friendly. Which means there's no point in myself or any of the other contributors here, many who traveled vast distances to attend the event, to make the trek.

Perhaps if they compare the revenue produced by their no camera events to NAP revenue they'll have a change of heart next year?

What are the no camera events?

They did tell me that cameras are allowed in the "car show area only" for this weekend's event, which would have been of some interest to me if I could photograph my naked wife with my car. But despite several attempts, they refuse to answer whether or not nudity is allowed in the "car show area".

So I'm giving it a pass, as I did the other events. No camera = no interest from me.

The club posted 2022 summer's schedule on their site. No NAP again...

I went before Covid and found it to be a very empowering experience. I would hope that in the near future years they will resurrect it before I get to old to parade around lol

I saw where the lady who runs the campground said she has no plans to ever have Nudes-a-Poppin again

For a long time there was a political battle at Ponderosa over whether to have NAP or not. On the one hand, they made a lot of money from it. On the other hand, it was a big hassle to organize, deal with drunks and bad behavior, etc. Scarlet, who ran the place, did not seem to like NAP, some of the things she did seemed like deliberate sabotage. It seems like the pandemic has been the final nail in the coffin, to not have NAP anymore.

I don't see it happening anymore either. There was no reason why they couldn't have had it last year, as Indiana was opened back up even then. There wasn't anything outside blocking them from holding it, it seemed it was inside politics in the camp was blocking it. I think even among those that liked it, that it had run its course and it was time for it to end. I am guessing it probably didn't make them as much as had in the past.

I only live an hour or so from there, and I am kicking myself for never going. I have a good camera now, and likely had covid not happened, would have gone in 2020. How many events allow open photography like it now a days? Nothing really.

I only see it coming back if they really need the revenue from it.

In my experience, feminism is a minor factor, if at all. Remember that it's all about the money. Cam sites, Only Fans, private pages on Pornhub, etc, etc. didn't exist when NAP was at its peak and had some promotional value for the woman and clubs. Now, women who are willing to get naked for money and don't want any physical contact can do it in the comfort and safety of home. Women who want the physical contact and/or don't want to be memorialized forever on the web are working clubs. NAP lost most of its promotional value for women and attendance has been dropping for years.

I have no statistics to back me up but my gut says there are many, many more women willing to get naked now. They've just moved to "pay per view." Just look at the explosion of Only Fans over the past couple years.

Are you really looking? Are you willing to spend the time and money or do you only want fish in a barrel events like NAP?

The heydays were pre-2009 financial crash but plenty of events remain if you're willing to spend some time and money and work for it.

I'm a little afraid that, even with the banalization of high quality cameras, from now on we will hardly have good public nudity recordings coming out of nowhere. maann, how i hate those onlyfans videos...

Not what I experienced
 

It was a very safe protected environment and I was never hassled by anyone. Where else can one wander about nude and feel all that brings with it. I will say in speaking with some of the residents, they did feel it was hard on the resort as far as wear and tear, but not enough to cancel it. I think it will re-emerge in a new venue. Florida or California sounds good haha

I agree, it was generally safe and protected there. But the organizers did have to deal with some drunk people, and bad behavior. Not enough to spoil the experiences of the attendees. But enough to make them question whether to continue. We always left early, but I assume that when the show was over, there would be some passed out people to be dealt with.

Florida sounds like a good plan to me.
