The 90's were the decade when the computer actually hit the homes.
And late 90's where the webcam time frame.
Many people posted and posed and even live-streamed all sorts of antics online.
Especially early 20 somethings. Soon, they would become pregnant and start families of their own.

20 years later, these 40 year old ladies have pictures of themselves still out there that their now of age children may happen to be-bop across.

Consider this one, who was one of my all time favorite, and now 20 years later...

I'm a techie, so I had things like a color printer and a scanner before anyone else I knew. This young guy at the office was into it a lot, he would come by and ask for tips all the time. He was big into chat rooms and downloading porn, which was a lot more complicated than it is today. He asked me about a scanner, how much they cost, etc., which was about $500 in those days, way past his budget. I knew what he was getting at, he wanted to scan nude pictures of his GF to trade with other guys for pictures of their GF's and wives. So I told him he could come over and use mine, but I knew he didn't want me to see the pics, I told him he could put the pics on floppy drives and delete them when he was finished. I would show him how to use the scanner and leave. The scanner had to be connected to a SCSI card in my PC, I couldn't just loan it to him.

He liked that idea, so he came over with a big envelop and a stack of floppies. I showed him how to scan, how to delete, he knew the rest, so I left him in my home office to work. About an hour or so later, he was finished, thanked me and left.

I guess he didn't know to delete the pics from the recycle bin. His GF wasn't a natural blonde and had some nice puffies.

I went to Kinkos and scanned an ex-girlfriends poloroid. As it was my first time, not really certain I deleted it or not from their computers.

This thread brings back a lot of memories for me. I've already written on here how mrs and I began our nude photography history with a Polaroid camera (that's how old we are!).

Anyway, around 2002 I started working in a small internet media company. These days it would be called a start-up. There were about 15 of us on the staff, all guys, with no-one yet 40. I think the boss was about 35. The company invested in an amazing item: a digital camera. If I recall correctly, it was 1 megapixel and cost something huge, like £500.

As well as using it for images for the websites we created, after a while it was ok for us staff to borrow it for a night/weekend, if it wasn't already being used by someone. While I'm sure I honestly did borrow it to take pics of family events, the most thing I used it for was to take nude pics of my GF! I'd be sure to delete files off the card after copying the pics off. I think I even have formatted the card, just to be sure.

However, I wasn't the only one who used to borrow the camera. I wish I'd known then about undeleting apps etc. It's quite possible that other guys in there were doing the exact same thing!

I also do wonder if any of my colleagues were ahead of me, in that. If so, they probably loved getting their hands on the camera, after I'd borrowed it for the weekend. :-)

Deletes not in recycle file
 

Aren't users aware that shift/delete doesn't move the post to the recycle file? Yes, advanced users might still be able to recover them but they're in the minority.

I am in that minority. I had a woman contact me, she was getting a divorce because her husband was cheating on her. She had his desktop PC, he was out of town and she knew he had deleted pics of him and his GF, could I get them back, she wanted them for the divorce proceedings. She said there were also pics of her, could I delete those so they couldn't be retrieved.

She was right, I retrieved a few hundred pics of the husband and his presumed GF, as well as permanently deleted her pics. She wasn't a model, but she was a pleasant looking MILF. Nice job I was well paid for. Word got around and I was employed by other law firms and detective agencies for similar work.

Though not strictly porn, did anyone watch Jennicam starting around 1996-97? She was supposedly one of the first people to put a webcam in her home. There were some bare boob shots for sure, but it was fascinating to see how she documented her life.

I actually was an early Internet friend of hers from when she started the shows in her dorm. I also once saw her in person when I lived in DC and she moved there. I don't think I have any videos but I think I have screenshots from her early shows from 1997.

The early days of the internet were a wonderful unfettered place unlike today where it has cynically had most of its innocent wild west fun taken away from it. I wasn't a big user of the internet until the early 2000s even though I was able to write HTML code. Let's just say the real world provided all the crazy sexual stuff I ever needed at that time. I do wish I'd taken a little bit more of a look around the net at that time though.

I remember Jennicam. There was a site that archived her photos (with her permission) and you could go through there and find pics of her masturbating. At first, she always had her parts away from the camera, but eventually she got bolder. Later she put a camera in her bathroom and you could see her getting in and out of the shower. Most of what you could see though, was an empty room or her cat. I guess it was the small payoffs that made it worth looking through all those pictures.

A legendary voyeur
 

Back in the 1990s, there was a voyeur from New Orleans who called himself 5-Eyes or iiiii's. His site was all about voyeurs telling stories about their exploits. Towards the end, he permitted photo posting but I don't recall any videos. At some point he created PDFs of all postings to that date. While there were more stories beyond the last PDF he created I think they were lost when he shut down his website.

I have a 16.7 MB file consisting of 32 PDFs sorted by original posting date starting on 5/20/97 and ending with 2/5/98. I know there were more beyond those because I remember posting some myself.

I know they will be treasured by any real voyeur, but I wonder how they can be made available. I'm a non-paying member so would I be allowed to post them? Then, if so, can someone tell me the best way to combine them so I don't have to post 32 separate files.

Actually, he shut it down himself. I think he realized that his obsession with voyeurism was a mental problem and he decided to get out of the business. He also sold videos I think he called Night Moves. I bought most of them which were mostly kind of soft-core --- like extreme PDAs. Occasionally you'd get lucky and see some where the participants went further. My recollection is that they were all in public so I don't think any of it was illegal.

I actually bought a bundle of VHS tapes from him back in the day, mainly Mardi Gras stuff from New Orleans. Great stuff. Tossed the tapes when I moved in with my GF at the time, too hard to keep secret...
