Yahoo Groups: In Memoriam
 

"Yahoo has made the decision to no longer allow content to be uploaded to the Yahoo Groups site. Don't worry, though, Yahoo Groups is not going away and new groups can still be created.

Beginning October 28, new content won't be able to be uploaded to the site, and all previously posted content on the site will be permanently removed after December 14. Anything you want to keep will need to be downloaded by that date."

Well, I can't say that I've been there particularly recently, and many of the great groups that were there are no longer. But in its heyday, a decade to a decade-and-a-half ago, it was a great place to explore fetishes, so matter how niche. I think I first heard the term ENF there. All good things must come to an end.

I don't know about you, but I think I'll travel down memory lane while I still can, and use this thread to post some of the best groups of what can be saved for posterity.

I remember Yahoo Groups! I thought they went away many years ago. I didn't know they were still in existence until now!

My wife and I were part of a handful of "exposed brastraps" groups. That feels like a lifetime ago. We stopped checking them out when it became obvious that most of the posters were middle-aged men pretending to be teen girls. Puke.

Because of this Yahoo Group I bought the movie. It must have been over a decade ago. Wow, I'm getting old...

I'm pretty skeptical of anything I read online, even here at OCC.

Whether under Comic_Stripping, Naked-Ascii, or the epic saga of Joanna C. Mutchmore's adventures in Cyberhell (380 pages! Originally it had to be split across three groups because of Yahoo's strict file limit!), Poser was pushed to its limits by Morphy. He hasn't been seen in a while, and all info suggests he isn't doing ENF stuff any more, which is a shame. If only the technology at the time had been advanced enough to compete with his creativity and humor.

post only your absolute best enf stuff here please. candid or posed is fine. but she must be at least pretending to look shy, modest, surprised or embarrassed. for examples look in the photos section.

bikini tops pulled off, tube tops pulled down. forced 2 streak, caught naked or in the shower. clothing mishaps, nip slips, downblouse and see-thru pix welcome.

Maybe it shouldn't count because the admin is still around, but hmutt's groups could always be counted on for quality content. The groups broke past Yahoo files limit several times, leading to the necessity of an archival groups simply to contain all the .avi's and .mpg's and .wmv's. It would be folly to attempt to catalog all of the photos that were submitted over the years, so please enjoy a few of my favorites from those grainy, low-pixelly days

Embarrassing Situations
 

Welcome to Embarrassing Situations. This group is dedicated to ENF and related subjects such as spankings, pantsing, cfnf, etc. If you think it belongs here, post it!

Though its photo album mostly became a repository for DFP Screenshots of each of its new releases (and there's nothing wrong with that!), Embarrassing Situations was interesting for the wide range of ENF it covered. An unsorted glorious free-for-all from the time when photographs needed a scanner to be added to the web.

I created this group because I got frustrated viewing bad lesbian stuff. CFNF isn't about lesbians. It's about groups of girls having power over one or another group of girls, getting them naked and humiliating them. Please post pics and stories about this! I've had trouble finding material specifically on the subject of CFNF subject so if you have some please share!

One thing Yahoo Groups was excellent at (perhaps THE one thing) was that it allowed for a wide distribution of subject matter, allowing you to get as specific as you wanted. Don't expect any CMNF here, or any NF without an accompanying CF! There are other groups for that, mister!

I totally agree.

Too many times CFNM/CMNF are about staged situation made by porn models. The true ones are about common people, homemade and not staged.

If I remember correctly, OCC came out of Yahoo groups.

One last thing. One element of Shaw's site was a list of movie recommendations. Of course, in the dial-up age of the internet, video clips were at a premium, but I'm sure most of those that we're on the list are now easy to find. Still, one description always stuck with me:

Saw this entry on one of the sex boards. Sounds like a great film! A German movie from the 70's. A sexy blond freulien in her late 30's, or early 40's, is attacked by a bunch of wicked girls, in a train. She is stripped naked and her clothes are thrown out of the train. Then, a pie is smashed on her head, a bottle of etching powder is poured over her, a cow's bell is tied to her neck, her hands are tied behind her back and a big feather is stacked into her ass (not explicitly seen, of course). I salute you, German girls ! After everyone takes turns to slap her ass red, she's thrown out of the train at the first station, in the middle of a laughing crowd. Now what I like about these German old slapstick movies is that they don't stop where any other movie, done elsewhere, would. The woman screams in shame, looks wildly around, screams again, then starts running through the crowded train station, tits bouncing wildly, the bell ringing at her neck, the feather wiggling like a hound's tail. From time to time she stops running because the itching is too much, and she has to scrap different parts of her body against lamp poles, fences, doors' knobs, etc. After about 10 extraordinary minutes of full frontal nudity and public humiliation, the scene ends here (personally I developed thousands of following scenarios, since). Later she's seen still naked and with her hands behind her back, on a deserted field, walking. The feather has disappeared now - no explanation, so you can get a good, clear and long look at her from behind, too. After another 10 minutes she's seen again running naked to a lake and taking a bath, while scratching herself madly everywhere. Her hands are free now - no explanation. Why bother ? Then she disappears from the movie. I don't think that before the shooting, that actress inquired her director thoroughly whether her role in that movie involved gratuitous nudity or whether she insisted for nudity-for-the-sake-of-art only.

Only One Naked
 

Photos and videos of those possibly embarrassing situations where only one person is naked. This will frequently involve public nudity, where one person is completely naked in front of a large group of people, often in a public place.

As you may imagine, there were a lot of hippie chicks. Not that there's anything wrong with that!

As a side note, while this girl with a sombrero is often included in groups of ENF pictures, it was only when perusing the OnlyOneNaked Group to pick out some shots to save here, that I realized that the typical single shot had more in the set, including a cute butt. New to me, at least!

Your favorite Jenny depictor and mine, Biker has been making beautiful beauties for over two decades now. His original Biker's Place Yahoo group was shut down (the random and arbitrary closing of Yahoo Groups being as much a tradition as any other thing concerning the site), hence the creation of the Biker's Place Too group, and, eventually his much beloved paysite.

But, while his work has evolved through the years, going back and looking at the illustrations that he had done even before Y2K hit, filled with references to community members and stories lost to the shifting winds of the internet, feels like listening to the good stuff on vinyl.

It took a few days longer than anticipated, but all the archives of the old groups are down. I managed to save what stories and pictures I could over the weekend, but I'm sure there was much that was just... lost.

I know it's probably silly, feeling a little emotional about Yahoo Groups disappearing. It was a poorly run, poorly moderated, Spam-ridden mess of a website. Adult groups would come, then disappear for no reason. It was almost two decades old, and most of the pictures and videos that were there are most likely posted elsewhere.

And yet... one cannot deny the things that help one come to terms with their sexuality. Yahoo Groups was where I first heard the term ENF. It was from that very website that this website sprung. It let me know that I wasn't a lonely little teenage pervert who was terrible for noticing how cute women were when they blushed during a game of strip poker. At the very least, it let me see that there were other perverts out there, and, if there were others who felt the same way, maybe we weren't so bad.

I joined this board in 2005. That's almost 15 years of trying to figure out my sexuality. There are days I feel comfortable with who I am and what I like, and days where I'm sure I deserve to be driven away from polite society. I guess that's just being human. But to anyone who was there then, and to everyone that is here now, thank you. We're all just trying to be human together with our imperfect bodies and imperfect souls.

That seems a little harsh. But I do want to thank the mod team, who I know have been on this post, and rightfully so. Yahoo Groups really was a gasp of the weird Wild West period of the internet, and that means you never know what you'd get. It is a tight ship run here.
