A Pat of Appreciation
 

This is a thread of scenes in movies or on TV, where a lady's backside receives a cheeky appraisal, whether by a pinch, grope or a pat of appreciation. Why, you ask? (Why indeed?)
Well, this only came about when watching the film Carry on Girls on TV during the Easter holidays, and finding that the film had been cut to ribbons by the UK censors. Amongst the daft things cut were a couple of scenes where Sid James playfully pats Wendy Richard's bum. I thought little of it at first (other than how depressing UK censorship has got), but soon realized there must be hundreds of scenes like that out there - and they can't censor them all!

So here is a thread for such scenes. (Besides, this idea won't stop bugging me until I set up this thread, so here it is). And to start it off, here are the two scenes that were edited from Carry on Girls, which started this idea in the first place.

A Touch of Frost
 

You've had the pat, now here's the pinch. This is from another series that would likely fall foul of the PC brigade, A Touch of Frost, from 1996. This is from the episode Paying the Price, and here Marc Warren gives his girlfriend Ysobel Gonzalez a cheeky pinch of her bum - much to her embarrassment.

Wild at Heart 1990
 

Not the ITV series, but from David Lynch's film from 1990, where Nicholas Cage gives Charlie Spradling a 'helping hand' up the stairs, who in return encourages him to "take a bite of peach." No wonder this stuck in the memory!

Don't Drink The Water
 

This is from a short lived TV sitcom from 1974-75 called Don't Drink the Water, which was a spin off from On the Buses. Here a neighbour comes to welcome Blakey into his new flat in Spain, and is more than eager to introduce his wife Beryl (Christine Shaw) to him with a enthusiastic patting to her finest feature. The actor playing hubby certainly throws himself into the role here!

A Touch of Frost 1992
 

Less a touch of Frost and more a touch of Hazel, from this early episode of the crime series in 1992 called Conclusions. Here a police colleague tries his luck with WPC Hazel Wallace (played by the lovely Caroline Harker), and gets a frosty rebuff for his cheek. Conclusions? In that uniform and handcuffs, WPC Wallace is an arresting sight for anyone.

Carry on Dick Babs
 

Another clip from a Carry on involving Sid James (he really did have the best job in these films). This is from Carry on Dick from 1974, and here he is trying to teach Barbara Windsor to count (using the best method I've seen). Sadly he is interrupted by Hattie Jacques, but still ends up giving Babs a playful pat as he sends her on her way before they are discovered.

Another scene from Carry on Dick, but this time it involves Kenneth Connor (well, why should Sid James have all the fun?), who lends a 'helping hand' to one of the Birds of Paradise (Penny Irving) to prompt them on their way when Kenneth Williams attempts to unmask Barbara Windsor as the notorious Big Dick. Carry on Behind 1975
 

Another Carry on, and it's Kenneth Connor again in the aptly named Carry on Behind. This time he gets to grips with the lovely Jenny Cox, escorting her out the room after her strip act has been sadly interrupted. What a job to have!

Carry on Matron
 

Another Carry on, and this time it's from the superb Carry on Matron from 1972. The plot is too convulted to explain here (and I'm not going to try anyway), so all I'm going to say is that this scene involves Kenneth Cope getting to grips with Barbara Windsor (who else?) after she discovers that he (dressed as a nurse) is really a fella, having been smuggled into the hospital by his dad (Sid James), only for him to walk in on them and mistake them as two nurses getting it on together. Confused? It's best just to watch the film. But I bet Kenneth Cope had a lot of fun filming this!

Black & White (1999)
 

This clip comes from the opening scene of the film Black & White from 1999 and involves a threesome in the woods between Bijou Phillips, Kim Matulova and a very lucky black guy! He fully getting to grips with his lady co stars, and unlike my other videos in this thread I've decided to upload this as it plays out, as it is far too hot a scene to mess about with. Enjoy.

Pie in the Sky
 

This is from TV series Pie in the Sky that ran in the mid 1990's. This is from an episode called Ugly Customers from 1997, and sees Marsha Thomason's waitress given a more than generous tip from a lecherous customer before receiving a pat of endorsement from him before he leaves. She is less than impressed. It was this role, coincidentally, that first gained Marsha notice before she later left to find fame in the States. You can certainly see her star quality here!

Not Going Out
 

This week's video is from an episode of Not Going Out, the long running UK sitcom. Here it sees the lovely Lucy Breton in a dance with a creep she's hired to play her boyfriend so she's not without a bloke at her own party. Sadly for her, however, she finds he is all too willing to play a hands on role with her. The episode itself (from 2009) is, funnily enough, called Party.

Heart of Glass (1976)
 

Now here's a curio. This is from a German film by Werner Herzog, made in 1976, called Heart of Glass. The scene here involves a girl being woken up in bed by her mother, who pulls back the sheets to reveal her naked form, before giving her bum a hearty slap to wake her up. (And a great sound it makes, too!) What is unusual, however, is that the actress (indeed, all the cast bar one) were all hypnotized while making the film. Apparently the director wanted to see if he could do a film where the cast were fed the script while in a trance to see what the result would be. (As it turned out, most unusual!)

As well as the bum slap, I have also included a scene in the video where the girl later does a strip tease in a tavern. My query is, did the actress know she would be getting naked when she started filming, or did she only find out afterwards? Now there's a question!

Werner Herzog is as crazy as his major star and collaborator Klaus Kinski.

EastEnders Debbie
 

This is from the soap EastEnders from it's early years in 1985, and involves young couple Debbie and Andy, played by Shirley Cheriton and Ross Davidson. Ross had the luckiest job in the world smooching with Shirley both on and off screen, as the couple were an item in real life. And here he gets to enjoy all the privileges of her boyfriend in these scenes, giving her bum a playful pat while others could only look on with envy. Ross sadly passed away in 2006 after a battle with cancer, but both of them still stick in the memory for me. Shirley was one of my first ever crushes, and quite frankly, who can blame me? Anyway, enjoy.

EastEnders Sue, 1985
 

Another clip from the soap EastEnders from 1985, and here café owner Ali Osman cannot resist giving his wife Sue (played by the late Sandy Ratcliffe) a pat of approval while she's bent over clearing the tables. Neither character had much luck in the show (both leaving in 1989), but here enjoy a rare moment of affection.

EastEnders Angie
 

The third (and last) of my EastEnders trio sees the King and Queen of the Queen Vic, Den and Angie Watts, from the New Year's Eve episode from 1987. Here Angie has returned after their divorce papers in 1986 to help Den run their pub, and is summing up the courage to face the customers. Den of course has his own way of boosting her confidence with a pat of assurance before they go down to the bar. EastEnders glory days, but it's hard to believe that at least a 3rd of the original cast have since passed away. Can it really be over 30 years ago?

Highlander (1986)
 

Now a clip from the film Highlander from 1986, involving Beatie Edney, who is at present in the remake of TV's Poldark. However, here she is a lot younger, playing Christopher Lambert's squeeze - literally! He sure knows how to greet his beloved, but poor Beatie's bum must of been bruised by the amount of attention it gets here! It also includes at the end of the video a scene where the duo cavort in the heather and Beatie pops out of her corset briefly. Sadly I have no gadget in my AVC (Any Video Converter) that slows scenes down, but I have included a pic that captures the said moment. Anyway, enjoy.

Scarlet Heaven (aka Forbidden) (1949)
 

This is a clip from the film Forbidden (aka Scarlet Heaven) from 1949. In this scene Douglass Montgomery's wife (Patricia Burke) turns up at his workplace to tell him she is going off to her sister's. However, to amplify the fact she may be telling porkies, he and his friend then see her getting into a cab with a chap who is more than a little friendly with her - hence the need for the bum patting scene. I love the fact that the chap gets another little touch in for good measure when she gets in. No wonder it was called Scarlet Heaven!

Dry Rot (1956)
 

This was a hit in it's day, but it hasn't aged well, and it's title may be more apt now. However, it did include Carry on legends Sid James and Joan Sims in the cast before they were famous, and it's the latter (here playing a dippy maid) who ends up on the receiving end of not one but two over familiar characters. It would of been nice if the lovely Heather Sears had received attention in the film, but as it is, it is the fair Joan. Also included is a pic from Carry on Teacher to show just what attracted them to Joan in the first place.

The Lakes (1997)
 

This is from UK TV series The Lakes from 1997, a big gritty drama of it's time, where they had no qualms about earthy, graphic sex scenes or nudity. Here this scene sees John Simm getting to grips with a girl (Samantha Seager) he has only just met on the dance floor, and unable to keep his hands off her bum. The scene is followed by them having sex in bed, along with one of Simm's mate Matt Bardock failing to score with his own girl. Sadly I don't know who the actress is playing the other girl, but I thought I might as well keep the scene as it played out for your viewing benefit. And despite my attempt at a screencap for Seager's sex scene, you do actually see something in that scene - it's just very hard to capture as a photo!

Midsomer Murders (Tainted Fruit)
 

This is from Midsomer Murders, in the days when John Nettles was in it and it was a top show. The episode itself is called Tainted Fruit (from 2001), and stars the lovely Lucy Punch before she went to Hollywood, playing a rather bossy madam who ends up dead. In this clip she turns up to visit a pal, only to receive a slap on the backside from her pal's posh boyfriend before he departs, showing he has no time for such pretentions. I have also included on the end of this video a scene where Lucy ends up soaked by a barmaid and ends up having to strip off her dress in front of everyone, before walking off in her boyfriend's coat - mainly because I know a few of you like those sort of ENF scenes. Midsomer Murders Electric Vendetta
 

More Midsomer Murders, and this time two fondled fillies for the price of one! This episode is The Electric Vendetta (again from 2001), and first up it shows the sexy Amanda Mealing receive a pat of appreciation from her boyfriend. She is far more enthusiastic about the attention than the other girl in the episode (played by Daisy Bates), who is less keen on her hubby Patrick Baladi's wandering hands.

Clarence (1988)
 

This is from Ronnie Barker's last TV sitcom before he 'retired' in 1988, a charming period comedy set in the 1930's where he played a short sighted removal man who ended up setting up house in the country with Josephine Tewson's maid. However, sometimes bad eyesight can have it's benefits, as proved here when Barker accidently gets to grips with Tewson's behind after mistaking it for a sofa when moving furniture. (How many have tried that excuse and lived to tell the tale?) Needless to say, he's more than happy to of made the error after that!

Acid House's Michelle Gomez
 

Having already posted Michelle Gomez's explicit sex scene in The Acid House here: https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/sho...&postcount=772, there was also some nice hands on scenes from her cuckold boyfriend in the film too. So here it is (so you don't actually have to sit through the film), with Gomez dressed up in clingy top and short skirt, but not for her boyfriend's benefit...

Are You Being Served? (1973)
 

Astonishingly, throughout Are You Being Served? 13 year run from 1972-1985, only once did any girl fall victim to Mr Lucas' cheeky charms. Even more incredibly, it wasn't Miss Brahms (played by the lovely Wendy Richard, who inadvertently inspired this thread). No, the lady in question was Stephanie Gathercole, who played Mr Rumbold's secretary from 1972-74, and whose voice you hear over the opening musical credits. Here she's off to have her lunch, only for Mr Lucas to have a little nibble at something tasty himself. The thumbs up between him and Mr Humphreys afterwards is a bit of an eye opener too!

The Lady Vanishes (1938)
 

When this film appeared on the TV only last weekend, I just couldn't resist adding it here. One of Hitchcock's best films, this sees the beautiful Margaret Lockwood (in her breakthrough role) with Michael Redgrave in a scene where they think they've been drugged. As he nips out the window, he tells her to keep active so she doesn't fall asleep, such as bending down to touch her toes. However, it turns out to be just as good a ruse for catching Miss Lockwood off guard, as Redgrave later sneaks through the next compartment to give her bum a good slap!

Also included on the end of this clip is a scene from the start of the film, where Lockwood is in her underwear and is helped down off the table by a waiter, and gives us a good flash of what Redgrave got to tackle later in that train carriage. Lucky so and so!

Inspector Wexford (1988)
 

Another mystery drama, this time from TV, from the long running detective series Inspector Wexford (or The Ruth Rendell Mysteries, as they were officially known) between 1987 to 2000. This is from one of the earlier episodes from 1988 (called No Crying He Makes), which starred a young Jane Horrocks. However in this clip it is Christine Kavanagh who faces the less than welcome amorous attentions of her dodgy boyfriend, who gives her a pat on her backside to finish in the kitchen and come upstairs. Not content with that, she then has to strip off to her underwear in front of him. Sadly it's as far as she goes, but it seems it was the nearest Christine Kavanagh ever came to stripping off on camera, so we shouldn't complain. And he doesn't half give her bum a good slap, too!

Miss Marple (1985)
 

This clip comes from the Miss Marple series that ran between 1984-1992. The episode itself is A Pocketful of Rye from 1985, and involves blonde bombshell Stacy Dorning receiving 'attention' from her much older screen hubby Timothy West. Stacy herself came to fame with the TV series The Adventures of Black Beauty in the 1970's, and after doing Miss Marple she only did one more role, coming full circle in her career with a new series of Black Beauty in the early 1990's before retiring. What a shame.

Clue (1985)
 

For a change here is a clip from the USA, this time from the film Clue from 1985. In this clip there are two 'ass appreciation' scenes, with Christopher Lloyd checking out fellow guest Lesley Ann Warren as they wait to be let inside, then Colleen Camp's cute maid being goosed by their mysterious sleazy host Lee Ving. But while Warren's Miss Scarlett had no problems with Lloyd getting to know her better, the host ended up dead! Which goes to prove that you don't mess with the staff!

Dirty Dancing (1987)
 

Another clip from the USA, this is from Dirty Dancing from 1987, in the famous scene where Jennifer Grey carries a watermelon and discovers just what is the new thing in dancing back then. Considering this is set in the 1960's and remembered as quite a sweet film, the dancing here is remarkably raunchy, and here one of the dancers gets fully to grips with the moves and his blonde dancing co star - much to the shock of Grey's character.

Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) (1969)
 

This is from one of the best TV series from the 1960's, Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased) (known as My Partner the Ghost in the USA). The premise involved two private eyes, Randall (played by Mike Pratt, who died tragically young in 1976), and his deceased partner Hopkirk (played by Kenneth Cope, ironically still alive), who is killed in the 1st episode, but comes back as a ghost to help his partner solve cases. Despite the naff sounding set up, it worked a treat, and although it was virtually ignored when it was first broadcast, it gained a huge following when it was broadcast on TV years later in 1988, and again in 1994 (which is how I came across it).

In this clip (from the episode It's Supposed to be Thicker Than Water), Randall finds himself at a theatre audition, where the casting director watches a dancer in a skimpy leotard wiggle about on stage, before complimenting her on her routine, and giving her bum a good hearty patting as he guides her off stage. And considering how his hand lingers when he sees her off, he looks a lot more enamoured with her 'talents' than he is actually letting on! The dancer may be an actress called Pauline Chamberlain (though I can't be sure), but I'd urge you to check out the series itself - not least for it's brilliant theme tune. Anyway, enjoy.

Diagnosis Murder, the detective show starring Dick Van Dyke, did a variation of this in the 90s. Sloan was investigating the death of a studio owner and at one point went to his studio to talk to one of the dancers. She was practicing for a part and gave him a lap dance while he was attempting to ask her questions. I do not remember the episode name or actress. I do remember that the owner was killed when an electrical jolt from his cane, rigged by the murderer, messed up his pacemaker. I'll post a clip if I find anything.

The episode is "Flashdance with Death". The actress is Paula Marshall playing Cindy Martin. She is a dance instructor at the studio and it is not a lap dance but is still similar to the previous clip.

Thanks for the clip. It was most entertaining. Hot pants and lycra really do something for a girl's physique. All it was missing was the pat or pinch of appraisal at the end, but I couldn't imagine Dick Van Dyke ever doing something like that on film! But it was much appreciated all the same. Thanks for showing it. :)

Jonathan Creek (2003)
 

This week we have a scene from Jonathan Creek, another mystery series that was great in it's early years in the late 90's. This is from a less than great episode in 2003 called Angel Hair, but still contained this little scene, where Jack Dee's girlfriend Caroline Carver comes home after winning an award for "Sexiest Bottom", and Dee gets to sample the award winning booty. It's a pity she wasn't wearing lighter trousers, but she's still a knockout.

In Loving Memory (1984/86)
 

This is from a couple of episodes from a UK comedy series called In Loving Memory, about a family undertakers business set in the 1920's, and which ran from 1979 to 1986. In most of the series it starred Sherrie Hewson, who appears in one of the scenes here having her bottom pinched by her randy new spouse Christopher Beeny, who also gets to grip with the local barmaid (actress unknown) in the 2nd scene on here, but is nowhere near as enthusiastic as he is pinching Sherrie Hewson's bum!

Flash Gordon (1980)
 

Have to say, I wouldn't at first of thought of having this on here were it not for what I recently found out about this scene. The clip is from Flash Gordon from 1980, and is the famous scene where Brian Blessed says "Gordon's Alive?" It also includes Brian giving Melody Anderson's character Dale Arden a goosing, and if she looks surprised in this scene it is because it wasn't actually in the script! Just check out the look she gives him afterwards. Now we know what Brian meant when he said "Gordon's Alive!" So that's what he calls it...

Oh Doctor Beeching! (1997)
 

In this clip from TV sitcom Oh Doctor Beeching! from 1995-97, Paul Shane (one of the gang from Hi de Hi) gives a cheeky little pinch of Julia Deakin's bum as he promises that there will be some action when he gets her home tonight. She looks more than a little worried as he leads her home, and no wonder! It was one of the last sitcoms written by David Croft, who wrote so many classic comedies with both Jimmy Perry (Dad's Army) and Jeremy Lloyd (Are You Being Served?), but by the time this came out it was clear the glory years had passed.

2011 PDC Premier League Darts
 

This is from the 2011 Premier League Darts championship between Terry Jenkins and 16 time World Champion Phil Taylor, and while warming up for the match the TV cameras caught Taylor 'checking out' one of the walk on girls as he collected his darts from the board. At first I debated whether to include this on here, as there is a difference between enjoying what is scripted on TV or film, and what some letch does in real life. However, I decided to add this here, not least to prove that Walk On Girls really do earn their money! As it was, Taylor failed to reach the final that year, while the way the Walk On girl conducted herself proved she was a cl-ass act!
