Sorry folks. for some reason the file (17 mg) will not upload. does anyone knwo if there is a limit to size?

Sorry there is a 10 MB limit for file uploads.

Any chance you could reduce the size of the file or split it into parts?

Use hjsplit, which has never worked for me anyway, and got this error.

gbvan1.WMV.001:
Invalid File Type

I have this file in five parts, about 80 mg total.

Hjsplit work fine....obviously u must to re-join all the files....the single file *.001 give u an error if u try to play it with mplayuer, but if u re-join all files u'll be have an 80M file that play fine with your media player.....it's simple, not hard....eheheheheh :-) :-) :-)

UH...five parts are too huge for this forum...better to make 10 parts, if the master file is about 80M....we will join all the "little" parts by yourself....thx in advance for your efforts!!!!!!!!!!!

I can split the file with hjsplit. This forum,s protocals are rejecting it. As near as I can figure the .001 ext is not one of the accepted extentions. Where hjsplit fails for me is in the fact that I have never been able to join files that I have downloaded.

You are correct that the forum software only lets people upload files with certain extensions. If you need to upload a file with a unique extension, you would have to put that file in a ZIP file. You are allowed to upload ZIP files.
