Bay to Breakers 2017
 

The temps were in the 70's and the sun was out, and by the looks of the photo returns so far, 2017 was something of a bounceback year for an event that had been on the wane recently. It'll be a week or so before we get the full picture, but it looks like there was more spontaneous nudity than in the colder years (tops coming off mid-run, etc), which helps bolster the ranks of the hardcore nudists.

Also, it should be noted that despite the oft-heard (and occasionally creepily expressed) complaint that Asian girls don't seem to participate much/at all in public nudity events; that was decidedly NOT the case this year, and if anything they appear to be over-represented at this year's B2B, even given the Bay Area demographic.

So while I'm not ready to put B2B2017 on the OCC Wall of Fame as one of the greatest events ever, it's certainly wasn't a bust.

Some nudity seems to have been pre-planned, whereas others appear to have disrobed in medias res. As always, some of the less daring opted for semi-nude (pasties, see-through, etc.) costumes.

Since thousands of people participate in B2B, with only a few of them unclothed, it's always a bit of a process to discover the nude/semi-nude needles among the simply drunk and fabulous haystack. I always think of the first 24 hour post-event as a sort of amuse bouche to whet our appetite for what we'll see over the next week. All in all, I think we're off to a pretty good start.

Here are a couple more, though not shot from as optimal an angle as above, along with pics from a couple other Asian girls. The flickr user credited in the filenames is worth checking out. He's got over 1k pics from this year's B2B already, and while I plan on posting many more here, it's impossible to post everything and I'm just picking some representative shots.

A continuation of the previous post, concluding with a mystery: some rear view shots of an unknown fully nude girl taken at the finish line. I've looked through earlier pics of the group she's seen with here, and she's not visible. Which leads me to believe she just happens to be seen with them here, rather than being part of that group.

These are great pics, for my money possibly some of the best public nudity shots of all time. If I can put on my CSI sunglasses for a minute, I just want to point out a few things that we can extrapolate from the pics:

1. She's posing for pics with random strangers, something few female naked runners have done.

2. These pics are in the park, after the race (you'll note that the other folks in the shots all have medals), so she's still casually walking around naked among clothed people, well after completing the course. We typically see that from the "naked guys," but I don't think I've seen that from female participants. In fact, I'm used to seeing shots of the naked gals pulling clothes out of their backpacks and getting dressed after crossing the finish line.

3. Speaking of clothes, she doesn't have any. Anywhere. And her friend isn't carrying them for her either. Naked runners typically either have a backpack or a fanny pack with some light clothing they can throw on after the race, or they at least have a friend who does. I had noticed that from pics during the run, but figured someone out of frame must be carrying them for her, but these post-race pics make that unlikely. Perhaps she's meeting someone in the park who has her clothes, or maybe she's taking the BART home starkers. Either way, I'd love for more pre- and post-run pics to surface to get more of the story.

Regardless, she's clearly going the extra mile. I take back what I said earlier about the OCC Wall of Fame. It's possible that she's well on her way to earning a spot on it.

Ok, found a great video of this girl. IMHO, I don't believe the pictures quite do her justice after seeing the video as is the case with many of the participants of b2b, Fremont, and other events. Anyway, the video shows her casually walking and then stopping at one of the free water hydration stations located throughout the race course. At one point you can clearly see tiny beads of sweat glistening and trickling down her cute bare bottom while she waits patiently at the water table. Pretty freaking awesome!

Later in the day I saw this couple talking to 3 police officers. He was still nude. She was wearing a wrap. She didn't look happy. Anyone know what happened?

While I'm disappointed Fango left her off his "Best Of 2017" thread, I'm not disappointed to have found another shot of "The San Francisco Treat."

She tops the list for personally, as one of the most daring B2B-ers of all time. As I've mentioned above, mid- and post-run photos reveal that neither she nor her mates were carrying any clothes, which means she either had a very interesting walk home, or made some Uber driver's day. Either way, I wish we had some photo documentation.

That's why I encourage people to share their own lists of their favorite things of the year in my Year-end Review threads. I don't want people being disappointed that I didn't include something that they liked, or wanting me to include something that I didn't want to include. My list is intended to stimulate discussion, not represent the end-all, be-all decision of what was good in any given year. I know that I write a lot and include a lot, so maybe it comes off that way, but that's certainly not my intention. I strongly urge people to share their own lists for the same reason that people seem to enjoy reading my list: it's fun to find out what we each enjoyed in the past year, and it helps us discover new things that we may have missed. I know that I've for sure missed a lot and would appreciate seeing what others liked that I may not have known about. I don't know if people think I'm joking when I say that they should share their own lists, but I'm serious. I hope more people will do so. Sorry for the rant, but this is a bit of a sore spot for me.

Oh, sorry. I wasn't being serious, and didn't mean to touch a nerve. I was just connecting the dots between your having bestowed a catchy and clever nickname on her, and the fact that your Best Of thread had just dropped--a connection which probably only made sense in my own brain at the time when I was posting. Your personal favorites are your personal favorites, and I would never be so presumptuous as to tell you what you should prefer. I love your yearend post for what it is, and wouldn't have you change any of it.

THIS is the pic we've been looking for. We knew she remained naked in the park after the race, and we knew she posed with strangers--we just didn't know she posed with an especially strange stranger.

This pic is actually related to digitalstream's pics above: I'd seen them in this naked gentlman's flickr feed (I had thought someone had posted them before, otherwise I would have myself). He goes by some variation of "Rahm," but he changes his username often, and has also deleted and restarted his Flickr a number of times (it's currently offline as far as I can tell). He's one of SF's very own "naked guys," that get off on taking pics of themselves dong-out with pretty girls. The three pics in digitalstream's post, as far as I can tell, show her reaction to his approaching her and asking for a pic. Going by her bemused expression and the fact that there was no pic of the two of them together in his album, I had assumed she had turned him down... but I guess that assumption was incorrect. I've never been so glad to be wrong.

So I have to ask slammerkin, where did you find this pic?

Ah, ok then. Thanks for the link. I couldn't reverse search from my phone. So I guess his flickr is NOT offline, and he DID include the pics of them together. That said, I'm certain they weren't there when I came across his album a few months back, and there definitely weren't those others pics of him standing in the street pulling on himself either. So maybe this is yet another iteration of his Flickr, or maybe he just went back and added them. Either way, it's all fun stuff!

Haha. So it's actually the pic I posted in #31 above... and so I guess we've come full circle. But the pic you posted by accident, and which Fango expanded on with his post, were probably the best pics so far, so it worked out wonderfully. I love it when a plan comes together!
