IMPORTANT: Know your password

Within the next week we are planning on upgrading our login pages.

That means passwords you may have saved in a browser will not automatically show up in your browser under the new system.

We advise all members to know their current password so they won't have trouble logging in.
In addition, it's a good idea to make sure you have a current/valid e-mail on file here in case you need to contact us to recover your password.
If you contact us from an e-mail address that does not match your membership, we may not be able to provide support or help recover your login details.

Thanks

[QUOTE=admin;2361215]Within the next week we are planning on upgrading our login pages.

I hope you stay compatible with Mac OS10.4 and later Safari and Firefox browsers. I'd hate to lose you after so many years of great posts.

Thank you for the heads up!

Ok! Thanks.

We'll do our best to make sure this update is compatible with all modern browsers.

I can't stress enough how important it is for everyone to know their password and have a valid e-mail address on file.
I know some members may have been registered here for 10+ years and simply rely on their browsers to remember their login details. That will no longer work soon.

If you are having trouble remembering or updating your membership information, please contact us for help.

HTTPS

Is this to enable login (and other browsing) over the new SSL Cert?

admin 01-09-2017 08:09 PM

This will enable all registration, login and lost password pages, as well as some profile pages to be delivered by a secure https connection. Basically any pages where members are entering potentially sensitive information will be transmitted more securely.

Right now the site-wide upgrade is scheduled for this Wednesday evening.

Wow, super update! Now I have to go through an additional screen to sign in, don't have the option (at least not that I've been able to figure out) to have the default be to NOT remember my password, and for good measure, "Show All Statistics" now doesn't show thanks or how many posts were thanked. Between that and significant mystery deletions (hundreds of MB this year - 2017, not the past 365 days), you really know how to encourage a guy...
