Well-intentioned (and flattering!) as those notions are, they kind of miss the point of this thread (and the late apparently not-so-lamented lead balloon https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/sho...43#post2286043 before its egregious and self-serving "editing" - dare I say censoring?), which is that in the current situation allowing elimination of all contributions to a thread if the originator wants it deleted (even/especially if that originator isn't leaving OCC, just selectively pulling back from some positions he now regrets), what possible motivation is there for anyone to post anywhere except in a thread of his/her own, thus, if not burying and interring, at least leaving on life support the single characteristic that to my mind distinguishes this site from others:

Crispus your point is so well taken. I don't think any of my posts were included in those deleted, but I absolutely agree that whole threads should not be deleted. Only posts should be deleted. Is that a lot of work? I don't know, but if it is, do the deletions incrementally or appoint additional (even if only task specific) mods. To broadswipe delete an entire thread and thus delete posts by active members in order to remove selected posts by the departing or withdrawing member strikes at the heart of this community.

An annual event, V-day (a celebration of Valentine's, women-empowerment, and the like, often including readings of "The Vagina Monologues") is observed in a number of places, but in Byron Bay Australia it traditionally concludes with a mass skinnydip; since it's a mainly female event, there's a preponderance of women participating: I'm currently assembling a number of videos to excerpt...
