New Streaming Video feature
 

We have a really exiting update today. :)

We've converted all the videos uploaded in the movie forums to a streaming format so members no longer need to download the original files before viewing them. Now you can watch all the videos posted on our forums right on your browser. This feature should make it much easier to simply view the videos other members have shared, right on your PC or mobile device.

New videos are still uploaded to the movie forums (Sexy Videos & Hardcore Amateur Videos - XXX) just like they always have been. From now on the forum software will convert the videos to a streaming format for you. This process may just take a few seconds or several minutes depending on the file size and duration of the original video that is uploaded. You can refresh the page to see when the conversion process has completed.

Since this feature is brand new, we may still need to work out any bugs to keep improving everyone's browsing experience. Please give us your feedback about the new "Streaming Videos" feature. Let us know what you think and what you feel could be improved so we can keep working on making the forums an even better place.

amazing work! fantastically integrated too, great that you can go straight to the post it was made in to give thanks and the linking to videos from thread/user.

If it's possible down the line could there be an option to sort by views? would make it pretty much perfect then!

This is great! And I appreciate you keeping the option to download as well, since the downloads seem to be better quality than the streaming videos.

Thanks to all involved on the major update. Not sure what the plans are moving forward but if adding the ability to thank the OP from the stream detail page that would be groovy! :)

It's still useful to post vidcaps if there are specific frames you want to capture that represent your video. However, posting vidcaps is not required.

The forum software will now create about 12 vidcaps at evenly spaced points throughout the duration of the video.

Here's a neat additional feature we have added. People who upload videos will see an extra "Edit" button on the video's streaming page. If you click on that you can choose which of the forum generated thumbnails is the "best" to represent to content of the video. This "best" thumbnail will be the first one shown when people are previewing the videos. On this same page, you can also edit the title of your video if you want to use a more descriptive or "search friendly" name.

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions everybody. We listen to all your ideas and plan on making some minor software updates within the next week.

I'd also like to add my sincere thank you for adding this extremely useful feature. It's very helpful especially in the rural backwoods DSL bandwidth hell we live in. I'm lucky to see 180 kB/ps transfer speeds so the ability to see beyond screen caps, or take a shot in the dark if the uploader didn't include caps, is a godsend.

IMO, yes, they do have value. They still help define the video's content. Not everyone provides the helpful kind of description that you do (much appreciated). Depending on the device or d-load speed, caps permit the user a quick review, helping to see if the video will be compatible with the user's interest.

Having said that, the new stream feature is great. Good work OCC! You're the best of the bunch.

Aw, it doesn't work on the Wii U. Oh well, still a good feature. :(

Love the new video feature. Huge props to ya'll.

There is also a neat shortcut to download the original video file when browsing a streaming video page. If you "Right Click" over the video you will see a menu to choose:

• More videos from this thread
• More videos uploaded by this member
• View this post
• Download video: original file name

OCC has been my favorite adult site for over a decade, but there's one issue that's been a constant irritant: people who post large files without caps or a description beyond HOT, or something equally mindless.

OCC has always been an excellent site. Your recent improvements have made OCC the gold standard. Thanks!

Brilliant update. There were way too many people "claiming" they couldn't upload or create thumbnails before. This solves that problem.

First off, thanks for all the feedback. It's nice to know this new feature is working well and people are enjoying the new streaming videos.

After launching this last week, we've only had to make a few minor bug fixes. Today we added a new option so the Streaming Videos pages can now be sorted by view count as well as date uploaded and duration.

I want to thank all of our members who have been uploading their new videos this past week. It's great to see so much new material posted in the video forums. Keep up the good work everybody. :)
