Hotels are really expensive, so only there for 4 nights before going back to Fort Lauderdale

Cheaper to rent a house with your friends...And you can eat in more often and save on restaurant bills...

ModelT-MsDollie 05-19-2015 07:36 PM

Good luck everyone. We can't afford it. Just camping there during non events is getting more than we can afford.
This retirement fixed income stinks. Don't for get to take lots of phots this fall.

Sexy Pants 05-22-2015 05:29 AM

I am sure there will be plenty of pictures for you to view.

Fantasy Fest 2015

It's not too early to start planning.

Any advice on where to stay? Clothing optional hotels, beaches, parties?
Recommended activities for wife showin and get some lovin?
thanks

DRDavenport 06-07-2015 09:45 PM

Best place to stay is to rent a house with friends. Many of the rental houses are in Truman Annex (susie@keywestkey.com), which I find too inconvenient. Many have private pools, but with little privacy. Preferred Properties has more upscale homes for rent. A house rental for the week can run from $3,000 for a 2 bedroom to $10,000 for a 5 bedroom in a prime location.

You want to be close to Duval St, but not on it. La Concha is way too expensive, and the other places are dumps.
If you need a hotel, the Hyatt on Front St. is pretty convenient and reasonable (but not CO). Lighthouse Court is fine. The Gardens is a bit pricey, but well located.

Best bar to hang out is Captain Tony's on Greene St.
Best parties: Fetish night at Kelly's on Monday; the Fetish party at 801 Duval on Wed; and the Bourbon St Pub on Thurs. (You don't have to be really kinky for the fetish parties - just wear a bit of leather and have normal fun).

The Friday afternoon parade is relatively family friendly, and lots of fun.

The big parade Sat. night is more fun to walk in than watch (IMHO). If this is your first FF, pay the $100 or so per person for a decent viewing spot on Duval St., else get there really early. Or avoid the crowds on Duval St and head down to Southard St where the parade begins.

As far as having some fun exposing the wife, opportunities will abound. Just be careful on the street. Pubes must be covered in public. In the bars and parties, anything goes. Capt. Tony's little dungeon has been getting very busy.
Avoid "The Garden of Eden" (the nude bar on the roof at Caroline & Duval, above the Bull). If you so much as touch your wife's tits, security will be hassling you.

HTH

frrutas1 06-08-2015 02:14 AM

Wow DrDavenport that's a lot of good info - thanks

We're a couple from CA and this will be our first FF. Unfortunately, due to distance, time away, and cost, friends are staying home. Planning 5 nights (M-F), no car, light luggage, just quick getaway.

Of the places mentioned which would be good (relatively) inexpensive lodging for a couple?

DRDavenport 06-08-2015 09:24 PM

I would try the Hyatt first. Book soon.
If the Hyatt is full, then use your favorite travel site. Do NOT stay at any of the hotels on the beach near the airport. Way too inconvenient.
You want to be as far north as you can on Whitehead or Simonton. No further south than Truman Ave. We stayed on Truman a long time ago. Really long walk to Old Town center.

Have fun!

ps. Best restaurant in Key West is Sarabeth's at 530 Simonton at Southard.

Tell Susie what you want she'll help
been using her for years

majicman 06-09-2015 10:18 PM

I'll second that, call Susie, she can book any place in KW and knows how to find the right place for your wants and budget. It costs nothing to use her and can save you a lot of stress.

Look at Google maps, try to stay no further than about 3 blocks from the HOT zone which is Duval St from Caroline to Greene.

frrutas1 06-11-2015 12:32 AM

Thanks to all the great suggestions. Hope to see you all at FF2015

Who else is going?

buckeyeforever 06-11-2015 10:32 AM

We will be there from 10/16 to 10/26. We go down to KW 2-3 times per year for about 2 weeks each time. We are thinking of moving there by the end of the year!

mamba149 07-16-2015 07:37 PM

I definitely don't want to bother anyone in KW that works there, soooo, is it too late to book? I know the prices go up the closer it gets but my husband can't commit for another few weeks due to work. I want to go for all of the fun, but not sure if I've waited too late. Thanks in advance and I love all the ladies here crazy enough to post!

Contact Susie at http://www.keywestkey.com/ Most of her places are in Truman Annex, which is OK for first timers.
Better (& pricier) rentals at http://www.preferredpropertieskeywest/

Do NOT stay near the airport near the beach. Way too far away. You want to be near Old Town, but not right on Duval St..

Nice profile picture Mamba149. I see that there is still some hotel availability if that is what you are looking for. Plan your outfits in advance as getting stuff in Key West is limited and expensive.

Rent a house

a rental can be about 500 per night but by food at the grocery store and save a fortune. Ours is a 2 bedroom with full kitchen, living room etc. we're about 3 blocks off duval. Perfect stumbling distance at 3am. We book in February to make sure. Also a 5 night minimum but worth it. We have all our outfits ready. From kinky to just body paint. Kelly's on Monday for just about anything goes but you have to be in kinky type outfit and Tony's has the rubberball that night too. If you want to "play" a bit, Tony's is good, Kelly's is good, anything in the 800 block is good. Garden of Eden is only good to tan yourself naked in the afternoon. No touching there. Second floor gets some good nudity and vag flashing from balcony during the day on Friday.

Jimdigriz 07-20-2015 02:47 PM

Love the outfit

i need to get pic with you and my wife.

I agree with DRDavenport in his response for the most part. Don't stay beyond Truman. But, I have stayed at the Double Tree a couple of times, which is close to the airport, and they offer a free shuttle until around midnight. You can always get a cab late at night, if need be. It's not super convenient, but a lot less pricier than the hotels and B&Bs close to Duval. So, if price is an issue I would stay there as opposed to not coming at all.

Even the Southmost hotel is a bit much to walk back and forth for the whole week.

Let's get back on thread and find out who is going, and the outfits people are considering.

majicman 07-21-2015 08:25 PM

We'll be there Saturday through Saturday, unsure if we'll stay for parade or not. We stay at Simonton Court which is one block off Duval in the heart of everything. We rebook the next year every year upon arrival.

We do body paint nearly every night.

Let's see how quick you are to get back on thread when you need some help....

Jimdigriz 07-22-2015 04:37 PM

Outfits

Star Wars seems to be part of theme this year. So my wife is doing the sl*tty Princess Leia outfit with body paint for the top one night. Maybe something else Star Wars with just full body paint and no clothes. Also some standard vinyl outfit with super short skirt ( no panties ), painted boobs or topless with mask etc. Can be reused for hogs breath if needed.

Jimdigriz 07-22-2015 04:52 PM

Outfit ideas

Capt Tonys on Tuesday is easy for an outfit. Ladies find the shortest kilt they make. Your butt cheeks should show in back and barely cover the front. Paint, glitter for the top. Guys can do the kilt also but regular size or if your brave wear the one that just covers your package. I saw a lady last year with a painted on plaid bikini and that's all. Looked good and very sexy.

Do you know if Hogs breath is one again this year as the leather and lace was a blast.

Barbarella seems like a possible outfit.

That's a good outfit for Kelly's. I want to get pic with you and my wife. She has an awesome outfit in vinyl also.

Hogs breath

We have outfits for it. Disney cancelled their stop in key west this year so hopefully it's on. I emailed hogs breath but got no response.

Jimdigriz 07-22-2015 05:06 PM

Liquid latex

We are considering liquid latex in addition to body paint for my wife. Anybody ever use it. Does it hold up for a whole Night of FF? Costume idea is all liquid latex for her whole body with paint for accents and style.

Jimdigriz 07-22-2015 06:45 PM

Couple of ideas

Liquid latex sounds like a nightmare in the heat. PVC skirts and stockings together with Lola Luna G-strings and shelf bras sounds good to my wife.

I couldn't believe the Disney cruise stopped in Key West during Fantasy Fest. And did not warn the passengers of what was going on.
We were walking Duval in the afternoon. My wife was wearing a leather bustier (and shorts) - lots of cleavage, but nothing more. Some lady walked up to her and said "You need to cover up, dear" and walked away. We were like totally stunned. Did she have any idea where she was?
