Oregon State Library

The former Oregon State University student cited on an accusation of shooting a pornographic video in an on-campus library faces as much as one year in jail and a fine of $6,250 if found guilty of the misdemeanor charge she faces.

The woman was identified Thursday as 19-year-old KJS.

KJS, whose last known address was in Salem, was cited Tuesday afternoon by Oregon State Police Trooper Christopher Graves for public indecency, the most serious level of misdemeanor crimes.

Graves contact with KJS was entered in the OSP daily desk log maintained at the school by police. KJS admitted to Graves that she shot the video in the library last October, according to the log.

KJS, who is not enrolled this term at the university, was cited after Graves viewed the video of KJS allegedly recording herself performing a solo sex act on the sixth floor of the main campus library, university officials said.

She is listed on the university's website as having studied human development and family science when she attended the school.

The video was posted on the adult website Pornhub, but has since been removed.

Cam models do this sort of thing "live" all the time.

It's a wonder more of them don't end up like this.

first thing any lawyer would tell about something like this -- when you are a suspect in a criminal case and at risk for being charged, under no circumstances do you tell the police anything other than your name.

tell them you want a lawyer and your lawyer will answer all their questions. which of course he won't.

the less you tell the cops, the harder cops/prosecutors have to work to make a case against you. cops/prosecutors are lazy. they'd rather go after some moron who admitted everything.

if all the cops had was a library sign-in log and a video that looked to have been shot inside the library, it's unlikely they'd be moving forward with a prosecution.

convicting her on a misdemeanor public indecency charge would take way too much work. no prosecutor would justify to his bosses putting that much effort into the case. too many real bad guys out there.

When I read the story last night, the funniest part was when the school spokesman said, "Clark added that the school “does not condone this type of behavior” and that administrators want students “to feel safe.” I guess if you see a girl naked in the library, you should be very afraid.

I love visiting Oregon : No sales tax, friendly people, and apparently so little crime that their law enforcement officers can spend their days trolling the internet for anything vaguely resembling criminal activity ...

Just wondering, though : For a charge of public indecency, doesn't that imply that some member of the public might actually be offended ?? I didn't notice any sign of anyone other than the perpetrator in the video (admittedly, my attention was firmly transfixed on said perp), so who, exactly, was offended ?? Was it only the State Trooper ??

A couple of suggestions : Perhaps the great state of Oregon could seek to employ officers who are not QUITE so prissy ... Or, if the State Trooper does happen to have such overly tender sensibilities, possibly he or she could refrain from seeking out materials that they do find offensive. Hey, I'm no Oregon State Trooper, but that's what I do !!

FREE KJS !!

(Of course, I'm referring to materials/activities that are victimless, involve consenting adults, and do not promote harm to others ... )

I totally agree

Not only was she not caught, but the clip demonstrates a keen awareness of not being seen by anyone in the library.

Anyone seeing her naked in the library is doing it by stumbling across her on a porn site, or seeking out the clip because they heard about it.

In both cases, the content isn't a surprise to the viewer.

What's more, I'd bet money that library is stocked with with a wide range of books on sexuality, and staffed by people who would scream bloody murder if this girl was taking pictures, in that same library, for a book that would sit on one of its shelves, but had to be removed for the sake of indecency.
