Fantasy Fest 2014 - Who is going?
 

Booked the flights, Car and Hotels. Thinking about the costumes for each night and the events. We intend to visit Kellys Kinky Karnival this year, but hadn't heard if the Hogs Breath Leather and Lace was taking place. Comments and Suggestions welcomed.

We will be there. Will be at the parties at Kelly's, Bourbon St Pub (hoping the foam party will not be blown away like last year) and 801.

After looking at the crazy hotel prices, we decided to just go to Miami this yera.

Prices are always high. Best to try and book early and go for the Mon-Thur Nights to keep costs under control.

We found great airfare into Fort Lauderdale for a Thursday thru Sunday.
Probably spent some time at Haulover and see it the hotel will tolerate some topless sunbathing at the pool.

Going to be a bit more adventurous this year and am planning the outfits now.

We were thinking about it. Better think fast. Perhaps some of the veterans can answer a couple of questions:

- Is body painted nudity still allowed in the street? The FF website suggested not.
- Do you need reservations for all the events, or can you expect to show up but still be able to go to things?

Officially they have to say body paint isnt clothing, but inside the "Party Zone" Paint is usually Ok but carry a cover up just in case you bump into a cop that asks you to cover up.

Well darn it again. We'll be at Fantasy Fest 2014 in our fantasies. Can't afford the hotel/motel costs and our bodies are getting too old to do a lot of walking. Have fun and remember we want pictures or you weren't there either.

The official legal line in FL is that body paint is not sufficient. In reality, in the party zone (Duval St and adjacent streets for one block from about Truman Ave to Mallory Square) paint on breasts is fine during all of FF. By Thurs- Sat body paint as bottoms is OK. Even no paint at all will not cause problems, especially at the north end. Be aware that you can bare it all in most of the bars, and even have "public" sex at the "private" parties at Kelly's and 801. (edit: be more conservative during daylight hours, and more outrageous after dark, when the fun really begins.)

FF brings about 50,000 people spending thousands of dollars each to Key West. The KWPD budget needs this money.
The KW cops are pretty laid back. But they have to import cops from further away to maintain reasonable security, and some of these cops don't really get with the program (when I was marching in the parade one year, this one cop in the middle of the street was scowling so bad I thought he was have a hernia).

So bring a cover-up, and put it on if a cop tells you to. Be very polite and comply immediately. Walk a block and take it off again. No problem.

First time for either of us.
We usually hit a few bike rallies a year, but have been talking about going to FF for a few years but always wait too long and then its too late to find a place to stay.

Ive been doing a lot of looking around on line trying to figure out the best places to check out.
Captain Tonys, Dantes, places like that.

Never been to Dante's but the pool party is pretty popular.
Fat Tuesdays attracts a younger crowd. They remove the stools later in the week because these drunken kids start fighting and use them as weapons. We avoid the place.
Capt. Tony's has a more age mixed crowd, with more controlled craziness. You'll probably see more skin here than at other bars (except the Garden of Eden - the nude bar on the roof of the Bull)
Best parties are Kelly's (Mon), 801 (Wed) and Bourbon St Pub (Thurs).

I recommend you bring some costumes (check the web site for the nightly themes), and get into the party, instead of wearing tourist clothes. You'll find it easier to meet people.

Got my New Skirt, Lola Luna String and Stockings ready. We are trying to make sure we have all the outfits ready so we are not running round trying to pick stuff up at expensive prices. Certainly going to give more of the outrageous events a try this year.

My new Wrap around Skirt, and sexy PVC and Lace Purple out fit arrived this week so tried it on to see whether I should take it with me. Husband took this pic and is posting for me.

Had a great time. Looking forward to next year.
