You would have thought that from such sunnier climbs there would be a greater absence of clothes........ ***** WATERMARKED PIC REMOVED ***** |

Sole highlight I've found of SF's winter iteration; "o" sizes also available, but I couldn't make 'em post right side up: farm4.staticflickr.com/3102/13021132843_3644d0fff9_o.jpg , farm4.staticflickr.com/3699/13020962565_79eb89fc7a_o.jpg , farm4.staticflickr.com/3631/13020980675_14a3f329be_o.jpg

A few of this weekend's ride, this year the girls were a bit on the shy side but as usual the guys were in full form. We had about 300 riders. It was a rather cold day in Cape Town, maybe that's why the girls were a bit more modest. :)

Nice
Thanks :) |

HOLY CRAP..... I hope that the flickr account belonging to fishst1ck is a member here at OCC....if not, their flickr account could be an entire website all on it's own!:eek::eek:

There's a guy called beachdude who also takes pretty good pix and let's u use his photos as long as u give him credit. I feel like thats the way to go when your taking photos of people at public events and not paying them, like WNBR or Fremont Solstice. Let people share them as long as they give u credit and put ur copyright or name on it so people know it's u |
Fishst1ck is just a legend besides our Irishboy, Pedro, Drondo, Klondike, 1minue1, etc.

First, let me commiserate on the fact that I landed from South Africa this morning from a business trip and never thought that the WNBR was on in March. Then, my thanks to all the good lads sharing and who will do so when summer kicks in with the bigger rides :)
Just thought of posting this one from SF's ride ;) |

I'd found all but one of these before that lovely Byron Bay video was linked, after which I thought these would be superfluous, but those who follow my posts won't be too surprised, and I hope not mind, that I reconsidered:
|
Sooo glad you did reconsider....

Thanks Fango |
Actually these reporters are from a program called "Panico na Band", which is considered a highly sexist show and somehow slanderous towards women image, so that is why people in the ride booed and (not so kindly) asked them to leave.
Nevertheless, the female reporter (Ana Paula Minerato) is very hot, too bad it was censored. Quote:

No proof of the date that this occurred, though. Apologies is this is a repost, my memory isn't what it used to be.

I know that Pedro has sold beach videos on coccozella, as has Kirbon. There may be other members I'm forgetting. I don't see Kirbon active on this board much, so Pedro would be the first I'd send a PM. He probably has a good idea how much money can be made in this arena. He's also active in the WNBR community.
The only problem I see is that the WNBR is by definition a political protest and not just a risque public nudity event, and there might be some blowback for selling the videos. I recall that happened to the Philly WNBR in 2010, and a company that had originally marketed a DVD had to take it off the market. But I think that had more to do with how the video was shot and presented, rather than the content. If I recall correctly, it was thought to have been a little sleazy, and had a lot of up-close shots of people in the dressing area without their permission. On the other hand, vivrenu (a french naturist group) has sold London and Brighton WNBR videos for years, and they don't seem to have had any issues. I think the idea is that since they're a naturist group, their intentions are honorable. I suppose it's all in how you market it. |
Just when i read Flankers reaction, i remember that i'm the honorable owner of a copy of the Philly 2010 WNBR DVD. If i can manage it, i will look if i can submit it in the Multiupload/Rapidshare/Zippyshare thread.
What Pedro did is first posting during the beach season a majoirity of his footage, via small short videoclips uploaded to filehosters, in his own thread (especially for us, loyal fans and forum) and when the season was almost over he deleted all those downloadlinks and sold his footage to Cocco who made a movie from it. In the videoclips section of Cocco are numerous WNBR clips, so i don't see much problems in a WNBR movie. As long as you post the possible moments with (unintended) close ups only here and may be make also some 'overview' footage to give the movie more an atmospere where you want to show the spirit (and goals) of the WNBR, where the shown girls and woman are only part of, instead of a movie only focused on (close up) woman and girls. So i wish you big success and hope that this will be a great WNBR season. ;) |
The video I sent to Coccozella was indeed a compilation of the stuff I had posted over the summer here, plus some odd stuff I overlooked. It has made me a few hundred bucks over the past year and was worth doing.
However, I doubt if one person could cover a WNBR with enough good quality coverage for a 60 minute (what they are after) film to sell on. It's hard taking stills and riding too, but several cameramen could do the job, with careful planning. |

can't wait to see this ;-)

I think we should all say a big thank-you to Drondo for covering these events; that's some long driving time for UK traffic.
Perhaps some other UK photogs could try to cover some of the minor runs if they live nearby? OCC has a fine community spirit in a world that's, sadly, more and more devoid of it... |

don't know if this has been mentioned, but the London WNBR will have 6 separate start points:
Marble Arch, 14:30 assembly, 15:00 departure, centre of roundabout, nearest post code: W1H 7EL Regents Park, 14:30 assembly, 15:00 departure, Cumberland Green, nearest post code: NW1 4HA Kings Cross, 14:30 assembly, 15:00 departure, Granary Square, N1C 4AA Clapham Junction, 14:45 assembly, 15:00 departure, Grant Road, SW11 2NU West Norwood, 12:00 assembly, 14:30 departure, Knights Hill, SE27 0JD Tower Hill, 14:30 assembly, 15:00 departure, Tower Hill, EC3N 4DJ I don't like the fact that they did this, but it would be nice we would could co-ordinate our efforts for maximum coverage. I'll probably take either marble arch or regents park (probably marble). Would be good if others could get to the other areas. |
ok, I think I'm going to take tower hill then. Judging from the facebook pages it looks like it's popular
|
just found out work rotas mean I wont be able to make brighton OR London rides, this year..
But I look forward to seeing your pics! |
Hyde Park or Marble Arch? (or both?)
