You can find details for the Pittsburgh event on facebook. Its supposed to be a march protesting that the burgh wont allow women to go topless. I knew about this about two weeks ago.

Sounds like fun. I will probably be there.

I'd go to Columbia if I knew anyone would show up.

It seems to be a bit cloudy and possible rain but still warm enough 20+ degrees in Amsterdam next sunday.

Why do so many cover their nipples? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?

I think because otherwise they would be arrested due to local laws.

Interestingly, this woman wasn't even part of the protest. She was a bystander who saw the protest getting started and decided to go topless herself. You can see her being interviewed in this video, then getting embarrassed about all the attention she's receiving:

Didnt go very well. They did get some local press, but it was for nothing. No boobs. Just a few signs and chit-chat.

They DID get recognition on ABC national news radio on Monday. Well it was a filler story that basically said nothing happened, so they used the pun, it was a "bust."

The park rangers were nearby the whole time and followed the group with the signs wherever they went.

The people who did all the work were from NEW JERSEY! They said they were from some sort of atheistic church that believes in equality of the sexes.
