It appears that London Zoo is appealing for some streakers - 300, to streak around the Zoo next month!

Charity event happening in London on 15th of this month which involves naked people. Photos are encouraged, so im sure we'll end up with some.
Tickets to watch are £20. I may go, not sure yet. It's a charity after all ;)

The idea is to raise money for tigers - and is based on the collective noun for tigers being a streak of tigers:)

OK, here's the deal. I'm not the greatest photographer. My camera isn't the greatest camera. But I went, I participated, I took pictures and I'm damn well going to post them, even some of the fuzzy out of focus ones, to give you a flavour of the event! Because there were some damn beautiful brave young women there.

You want more? I've got more.

That's just about it for the pictures. I wonder if it's worth uploading a video or two...?

Thanks for the feedback! No, I'm afraid I've posted all the pictures I am able to post (you don't need to see me!), I don't even remember that girl which just shows how much else there was going on to distract me! The same goes for this girl. There are several other girls I remember vividly for who I didn't get photographs but I'm desperately hoping someone else did. Despite the photo policy, I didn't want to annoy people by overtly taking their picture without permission.

One regrettably unrecorded moment was when I saw a clothed girl next to a steward uncertainly tugging at her short white denim skirt. I slowed down thinking something was up, it looked like a latecomer who wanted to participate, or maybe a gatecrasher who couldn't resist joining in? Sure enough she pulled off her skirt and knickers, whipped off her top, left her clothes with the steward and raced into the pack right alongside me... I gave her an encouraging whoohoo, not sure it went down too well but I got a smile!

For those of you who never venture into the Video section, you may want to make an exception for this!

I am shocked, shocked, that nothing has shown up on Flickr yet. Weren't any of the London WNBR photographers aware of this event? Or am I just not searching correctly?

Some great pictures from one of the photojournalists, some of the girls I was looking for, but unless you are prepared to pay you have to put up with the horrible great watermarks.

Still nothing on Flickr? WTF is going on? :confused: Am I just spoiled by the extensive and immediate coverage of every other modern public nudity event, or did this really somehow get missed by every single Flickr photographer?

Maybe it is something to do with spectators having to buy tickets in advance. Three immediate disadvantages - a) it costs money, b) you can't just turn up on the day, and c) you have to give someone your name. A lot of Flickr photographers value their anonymity, I imagine.

It has just occurred to me that there were actually more participants than spectators, which seems bizarre. There was only a thin line of spectators along the barriers, maybe 100 or so, whereas there were at least a couple of hundred nude runners.

The bottom line is this was a private event on private land, you had to have a ticket or a registration form or you couldn't get in. Even so, it does seem odd (and disappointing) that for an event open to anyone, with photography actively encouraged, more people did not take advantage of this somewhat unique opportunity. I'm sorry my photographs were not Flickr standard, but at least they allowed the professional media photographers full access. And I'm actually quite glad there weren't hordes of Asian men pointing huge lenses at peoples' vaginas.

I wish they figured out something like this for the starting and finish areas of the London WNBR.:o
(off course i also like sometimes the close ups, like for instance Irishboys ones, but that doesn't mean you need hunderds, thousands (Asian) photographers for it which also reject woman to participate)

Didn't mean to inadvertantly insult your pictures, DD. They are top quality, and the videos were especially appreciated. I do, however, wish you had gotten some more frontal shots. This thread is heaven so far for butt lovers, but not so much for frontal lovers like me.
