Don't you just feel for people who post pics with carefully constructed blurs and then forget to edit one? :rolleyes:

Any more of these or series where women initially showed their faces but then changed their minds?

Well, since no one else is posting in this thread I might as well keep going. Alyssa here has been posted in the clothed and not thread, but while she used to post with her face shown, she now blurs her pics (Check Guba for her vids too) - can't let that go without comment. :D

Stony, love the pics dude. :) I've been collecting a somewhat related field of pics. I frequent a "flashers" board where guys post pics of women they have flashed via webcams. Sometimes the women flash back, and sometimes they just give this amazing open mouthed shocked look. Anyway, the protocol is for the guys to blackout the screenname of the girl they're flashing. The problem is that sometimes they have a series of windows and a series of pics and well.....accidents happen. :D

Found these on the news groups. Her face was blurred in the main image, but they forgot to blur the thumbnail on the contact sheet (which I superimposed onto the main pic).

Ha Ha. Great find Public_Access. :D

I wonder sometimes if the posters "forget" to blur on purpose - kind of a 'maybe someone will recognize the person in the pic and if they do I have an out' idea.

I think your're right, in many cases thay probably are intentional. Here's an example though that wasn't intended, which led to a very embarrassing moment for TechTV's Cat Schwartz. This one has more to do with cropping photos than blurring them. Last year she posted the attached pictures to her blog. They seem innocent enough, but because of a bug in Adobe Photoshop...well, see my next post ;)

When you crop a photo and save it in some older versions of Photoshop, it sometimes keeps a thumbnail of the original image embedded in the picture. It turns out Cat was topless in the uncropped images, and when found by savy TechTV viewers they got posted all over the internet ;) . There were a bunch of interviews with her afterwards where she talked about how embarrasssing it was.

Whenever I see a photo that looks like something was cropped out of it I now always check to see of there is an embedded thumbnail ;)

How do you check for the embedded thumbnail?

Photoshop is one of those things I someday have to work at, I just don't use it anywhere near it's advantage.

Ah yes, the posters think they are protecting the nude female by blurring the revealing pics, yet showing the face on the clothed pics. Here is an example of such behavior (girl in blue shirt):

Just do a File, Open and browse to the folder w/ the pics. The thumbnails it shows here are the embedded ones. You can test this with the first set of Cat pics I posted, they still have the embedded thumbnail.

I also use a free program called EXIF Image Viewer (you can see them when you select the Thumbnails view). It's a lot faster (photoshop is overkill just for this). Some other image viewers show the embedded thumbnails when in "thumbnail" mode too.

I think these were a true oops case. I was watching a thread on another board as these pictures were posted and all of a sudden the unblurred pic came up. The poster stopped posting right after that, the administrator took down the thread, and I haven't seen anything posted under their user name again. Unfortunately not too much is shown (although she does appear to be clean shaven on the pic where she's showin' her butt) but the context makes this collection. :D

This sort of fits with the "whoops" theme. I love to see when posters use the negative function to 'blur' their wife's face. Do they not realize that it is pretty easy to undo that? Then again, maybe they do and that is another way that they can post pics of their faces and if their recognized they have an out. :D
