There is a very easy way to make a screen cap.

Play the vid, pause at the image you want, hit "prt sc" (print screen)

open paint and hit crtl+v and it will past the screen shot. now just edit out the extra from the screen shot and you're done.

Alt+printscreen is even better. It just captures your current window. So there's no need to trim (unless you want the player edited out)

No, it's not the same thing. Printscreen captures everything on your monitor(s). Alt + printscreen just captures the active window.
