Pensacola, FL memorial day pride weekend
Over in my public nudity blog thread in post #23 and #24, I wrote about the Pensacola beach memorial Day pride weekend where toplessness is allowed on the beach for several days. Go here:
https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/show...ples s&page=2 Now, this is not an ordinary pride event. It has no affiliation with the LGBT events worldwide. There is no parade per se. And so the fact that it takes place at all and that toplessness is allowed on a non nude beach in the US is kind of special. This makes it more akin to Lake Havasu, Party Cove, etc type events except that the location is a large, public beach. And up to 50,000 have attended, so it is no small matter. If you want to read more, go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memoria...la_Beach_Pride This is a unique event! Nowhere else in the US can you find sanctioned topless beach partying on a non nude public beach! So below I will post the pics from my blog plus some new ones I found today. enjoy! Now I encourage everyone to go out next memorial day to their local beach and lets see if we can make Memorial Day "topless day" on every beach in America! some pics to follow.. Klondike |

OK, now does anyone need proof that this is the good 'ol USA, not Europe? How about a pic of a topless woman holding a football with her hat on backwards?! This is America! ..and not Haulover, S. Miami Beach or any one of a handful of legal nude beaches in the US. And if it can happen here, it can happen anywhere...this is how nudity starts and spreads, through a random event or occurrence to something that people take for granted as nothing special.

Next up, some ENFing. After all, like I said this is not Europe, so you might expect us first timers to be a little shy at times. Nice pics, and you will quickly note that whoa!......there is also a little full nudity going on here! Book me my tickets for next year!
BTW - having looked over and collected beach pics for a long time, I can easily tell this is a Florida or Carribean beach, not a European Beach. I wouldn't need a caption. Its all in the colors and lighting - that white sand, blue going to green water, etc... Klondike |

and now a little more full nudity. See any cops handing out tickets? I don't...KLondike

and now on to the more regular topless pics.
With up to 50,000 in attendance, you would think there would be more pics out there. And its been going on since 2003 - another event that was just sort of started spontaneously with a little partying, some costumes, some gays, and a little nudity... Klondike |

note also, in the wiki entry I linked to above, this item about a "woman's week":
"For the women, Pandora Events and My Sister's Room are creating national press[citation needed] with their spin on the weekend, called Pensacola Women's Week. The women's events include beach dodgeball, a comedy show, a highly coveted drag king competition, international superstar performances and a seductive pool party at the Holiday Inn Resort. These events will take place on the beach as well as Captain Fun's." And yes, I would expect some toplessness here as well. Klondike |

I did some more research, and just to be fair - this is a pretty remote location as it is on the Gulf island National Seashore. "Pensacola Beach" is actually the name of the closest town, not the beach itself. The jist is that this is not a legal nude location, but being as remote as it is, some nudity has historically been tolerated. But those types of instances are small and sporadic as opposed to this - a party with 50,000 in attendance. So yeah, maybe it is a little more like Lake Havasu or Party Cove only on a beach. Still, I like it!
more pics - the pics from this threw me off because being as well attended as it is, I mistakenly thought that I was viewing typical beach crowds in the background - typical clothed beach crowds. But apparently, everyone in the pics is part of the party... KLondike |

A few more. KLondike
BTW - these all come from the same Flickr user and they are all from 2011 and 2012. Klondike |
also, I think I mentioned that S. Miami Beach is a legal nude beach - it is not. I think only Haulover is in Florida..

my slightly overly enthusiastic response to this event (sans adequate research) reminded me a little of when I touted the Crescent Bar topless partying in Eastern Washington in this thread:
https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/show...t=crescent+bar In both threads, I jumped the gun a bit in proclaiming the event unique or of historical importance. The locations are not crowded beaches. More precisely, what you have is an organized party on a remote stretch of sand that has traditionally seen occasional nude (not legal) use. Anyway, these two events are similar, and like cousins to the well known boat party events. as a reminder, a few pics from Crescent Bar... its still pretty exciting to see this in the US - so I'm suffering from a little wishful thinking...? :) Klonidke |

Of course there are those who want it closed. There are varying ways they try to put pressure on the folks. Right now, they are trying to annex part of the limited parking lot, and give it to a marina for expansion. In the past, they've fought with the city over bathroom facilities, consessions, ADA access. Whatever they can find to make people say "It's not worth it.". Of course, there are developers who see that stretch of beach as prize development land (if you look to the north and to the south, it's a wall of concrete). But the folks are doing a fantastic job keeping it open to the c/o crowd. This weekend it will be wall to wall people. We've met people from all over who come just to visit the beach and get naked, because they've heard how nice it is. I highly encourage anyone visiting the S. Florida area, to try to make plans to spend at least one afternoon there. You won't regret it. |
