No pics yet, but I figured I'd show the initiative and start the thread. Painting party is hopping, all your favorite regulars are here, and it is NOT currently raining! (Of course, that could certainly change for better or worse.) Should be a good crop of pics, and even though I won't come close, I'll try my hardest to cover for Klondike!

Klondike

The parade had a great turn out, and the sky was grey, but there was no rain. As I was heading to the painting party, I couldn't believe how many attractive young women were passing me on bikes. I didn't take a whole lot of pics, and my camera wasn't great, but I'll post a few of my best to give you a preview of what the better photographers with better cameras will show you.

Here's some from the beginning of the parade. I love the woman on the left in the first photo. See loved to pose, and stayed naked after the parade for a long time, so I'm sure a bunch of other people have better photos of her.

Please keep them un-cropped. Always interesting stuf in te baackground.

A few more. Those ninja turtle girls Pedro posted were also great. After the parade they ran around the park naked for a while, posing for everyone, and one of them was doing cartwheels.

the crops look fine. nice job so far - it was hard for me not being there, but this helps bring it all back...

I picked a great time to be visiting Seattle! I took a zillion pictures of naked men, but occasionally a naked woman slipped into the shot. Since this place is for chick-pics only, I'll post my non-penis shots here and put the rest on Flickr. ;-)

I wish I would have been at the staging area so I could have taken pictures while they were standing still! Oh well...next time. Maybe I'll volunteer to be a painter...I would have loved to have gotten my hands on all those naked men!

You guys are great for posting these pics. This is not a negative comment on you. BUT, I'm noticing a disturbing trend with the ladies recently and the covering of their nipples with pasties or tape then painting over that. It's really making me :(:mad::(:mad::confused::(:mad::o:confused::mad::(

It was a good day in Seattle today. It threatened to rain but finally the sun came out. Everyone seemed to have a good time.

So I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I have 46 pics from today. The bad news is that I only have 46 pics from today. Like I said, I'm no Klondike. :D (I didn't have any problems with my camera, although some of the pics didn't zoom as I would have liked. I had a problem with the bag containing my belongings -- it sprung a leak, so I had to tie it shut, and couldn't reach for my camera during the ride. I do have a couple of batches of mid-ride pics though.)

Nevertheless, here's the best of what I have, divided into three posts. (I'll put everything up on flickr tomorrow probably.)

The best place to shoot from was the middle of the street.

During the ride (including the pre-parade loop through Ballard):

Lots of friendly people, many of the attractive, but all had fun.

And I think some of these Gasworks ones are my favorite:

EDIT: I noticed belatedly that in that last pic there's a bit of hand blocking going on. Unfortunately, I have three shots of that angle, and she's doing the same thing in each. She had a bit of an issue with her paint getting worn away, IIRC. ;)

There were some naked men out there but mainly I concentrated on the ladies.

This was my first Solstice but hope it will not be my last.

I really enjoyed the elderly nude couple who walked the entire length of the paradel, unlike most of the bike riders, and tried to make contact with the crowd.

The last photos are of two girls who came to end of the parade route, put on their tee shirts, and cycled home.

I like the blue girl, she left her blonde pubes un-painted! What are all the equations about too? very scientific looking girl.

Some more from the start of parade meeting spot and riding to the parade. Looking back on it, you can tell that after the painting party I got a lot less shy about taking pictures. I don't know if it was because it was my first solstice parade or what, but I felt creepy taking pictures before the ride, but once everyone was assembled for the parade it seemed like fair game.
