Anybody know what happened to kitt 5000. He was posting some great videos.

Haven't heard for sure, but I think he was getting fed-up with the flack he was taking from some of the lurkers. :confused:

It takes time and effort to post movies, so as a lurker if you don't like a vid and its not illegal, be decent just move on to the next one. Slamming posters accomplish little except driving the posters away; then again, maybe that in itself makes some people feel big. :mad:

Kitt5000 pretty well saw this board through its growing pains - hope he comes back.

And a well worth 2 cents too. I totally agree. If people take the time and effort to post, then a prat doesn't like it they should shut up and not give negative comment. well done

This has been discussed in length before, and Alex has stated this boards stance on the subject.

Having only just joined this site. I had to take some time and go through the archives and se what was there. KIT 5000 has posted some of the best vids I have ever seen. As a newbie, I hope he comes back as well.

The reason kitt left is that this board is patrolled by officer chode head of the moral police on porn boards :mad:
I've only posted one movie since he (kitt_5000) left and I will not add any more until officer chode has retired ;)

I searched Kitt's posts and never saw of any mention as to why he left or blamed an individual?

I sort of agree that some of his last video posts were a bit out of context and involved molestation - which isn't a good thing.

I've known of Kitt (now Sick Joey) for many years and go to same groups as him and still see he posts in the other groups.

I too wish he'd come back soon also!

In the deleted thread, for some reason people fingered me as been the sole reason he left. All because I said to him that **** (word filtered...."Non-consentual sexual acts") are not cool.

I am not a mod/admin. Kitt remains a member here. No-one is stopping him from posting, only himself.

Personally, I wish that this whole "soap-opera" crap that was introduced is dropped and we can get back to posting legal videos and pictures.

@Estherwebster: I've seen websites shut down for hosting files much less illegal than non-consensual sex, I only don't want the same to happen here...nor our generous host to end up in legal trouble.

Hey everybody,

I just wanted to chime in here and ask people to relax. We are all adults here. There's no reason for finger pointing or name calling. It's really not attractive. Just the other day I was saying how proud I was that these forums were maturing into such a supportive community with a positive attitude. Please don't prove me wrong.

If you like something, post some nice feedback. People are always encouraged to post more if you show your appreciation. If you don't like someone's post, just hit your "back" button or if you feel strongly about responding at least make an effort to be constructive in your criticism. In extreme cases if you think a post should be removed, you can report the thread by clicking on the [!] button that is located on the upper right hand side of every post.

So that's what that is :eek:

Geez, never seen this format board before....stuck using the latest IPB's mostly.

Its sad hes not here anymore, this is an awesome board. Anyway, does he still post on any other boards, if so where.

As someone who comments frequently (and posts at least occasionally) I want to offer my two cents on the "shut-up-if-you-don't-like-it" sentiment I see here and there on this board. The entire *purpose* of a chat board is so that people can get feedback about what they post, and so that people can respectfully present their opinions about what they see.

Leaving aside the point of the very excellent Mr. Kitt, I think it's a service to the site to call someone on a post that is very off-topic or illegal. I think we should leave that "agree or shut up" approach to the Bush administration. I may not be able to tell the prez that his bullshit war stinks to high heaven, but at least I can tell a spammer not to pollute Alex's boards.

That said, I think it's also important to encourage and thank those good, good folks who take the time to post on-topic stuff. I will continue to call 'em as I see 'em as long as Alex lets me.

SC, you touched on a key point: respect. If someone takes the time to post pics or vids and share them with the rest of us, I think that the least we can do is respect their effort and give them kudos or if (for whatever reason) we don't like the post be courteous and hit the back button. Most of the criticisms of posts that I've seen on this board, even those relating to KITT, were polite (ie. along the lines of "I don't really like that vid" or whatever)

In reality, however, what does posting a criticism of a vid really accomplish? It is not like we are writing scholarly works or making policy decisions here (that's Alex's job) where criticisms are a necessary part of the process of producing better works. We post pics and vids that we come across that appeal to us and that we want to share with others. That is the reasoning behind my "praise for posts I like; back button for posts I don't" approach; it has nothing to do with debates or censorship and everything to do about respect, politeness, and keeping this board going. ;)

I, too, am an ardent member of the "hit the back button" group, but I do have to say I respect Kitt 5000. Granted, somtimes his posts are not my cup of tea, but the mere fact that time and again, across countless groups, his moniker is attached to quality vids or pics. That reason alone is why I refuse to say a discouraging word against him. He puts it out there, with incredible capability, speed, and resolution. If I could find stuff like that, I'd post it too, but alas, I am merely a leech. But him, he is a provider.

I built up a pretty large following with the Kitt 5000 name , But within the last year or so there has been so much bullshit that i thought i'd retire the name and start fresh. Sick Joey was my very first name on the web so i just went back to that . When i post a new video here you will know it's me.

I asked Alex to close the poll that I was running re: attitudes towards your posts but the last time (after it being open for only 12 hours or so) I checked the results they were something along the lines of 96 liking your posts and wanting you to keep posting, 3 not liking by wanting you to keep posting, and 3 not liking your posts and glad you stopped. This'll be my last comment on the topic, but I think a 94% approval rating and a 97% of respondents wanting you to keep posting speaks for itself. Hopefully you'll post again, but if not thanks for those you already have. :cool:
