Great idea for a thread. One year down by the sea I took my son to see the animals which were on display during the afternoon before the show and one girl was rehearsing her handstands in the grounds. I got right up close and could see she had a wonderful damp spot in her cotton tunic. I didn't have my camera with me but I've been hooked on the circus ever since.

As a child I had a memorable moment at the circus. It was in the middle of a high wire act when a female performer's halter top un-snapped and her top dropped giving us several seconds of great looking boobs. I remember her standing high up in the rafters, red faced, as she was tying her top back on with some difficulty. Remember that like it was yesterday.

I've found a few more. The girl on the rooftop is Sylvia Teron in a photo from the 70's. The water bowl is from Cirque de Soleil, I think. The last two are of a 1970's troupe called "The flying Oslers". I'm not sure whether the girl was topless only for the publicity shots or if she really performed that way. I've seen ads for the troupe where the girl is topless, but these are illustraded by cartoons, not photos. On the other hand I also found a photo where she does wear a bra. Perhaps she adjusted her outfit according to where they performed. The troupe was in the December 1979 issue of the german issue of Playboy magazine, but unfortunately I haven't seen it.

About 9 or 10 years ago, either Bravo or A&E used to air a performance from a circus that was extravagnt like Cirque du Soleil, but had more traditional acts, like t****eze artists, etc... I forget what it was called but I distinctly remember the t****ze artists and other acrobats wore exceptionally skimpy costumes. I've been scouring the net looking for pics that may have been from that act, but as I can't remember the name, I've had no luck so far :( Anyone else remember that show?

A few to add to the mix...

I've seen a video clip of them where the girl is not topless, but is wearing a thong bikini with a bra. Perhaps she was topless only sometimes, depending on local by-laws it might have been illegal for her to be topless in certain cities or countries. The pics here are definitively publicity shots, she is wearing heels, which would be very impractical during a real performance, to say the least. So we're still waiting for confirmation that she did perform topless sometimes. I have found a magazine ad ("Echo", april 1973, a mag aimed at showbiz people where artists could advertise). The ad has a cartoon, not a photo, but the girl is definitively topless in that one. I believe the girl is now living in New Zealand running some kind of circus school or circus museum, I don't remember exactly, nor do I remember her name, sorry.

I found these pics of the Flying Oslers. Low-res pics and the girl is not topless, at least she wasn't in this performance (in London in 1978). But she is definitively scantily-clad enough to be published in this thread. Her name is Carol Fiallo, btw.
