I'd like to see them. The tradition apparently started when having finished her degree/diploma/whatever Katherine Hepburn decided to skinny dip in the college fountain to celebrate. I saw some footage of a late-90's skinny dip there in a BBC documentary about Katherine Hepburn maybe 10 years ago, so that mean footage exists of it so I guess photos do as well. Think I'll do a quick search of this site right now.

As for getting along, I think we all get along here better than in most forums. I have seen forums where the repost police can get really ugly.

OCC is not ONLY for original material, but if you think about it, what exactly is the value of reposted material other than it is more accessable to newcomers when posted in current threads. But a duplicate really has no other intrinsic value if it occurs in the same physical location as its twin. I suppose to a newbie, a really great pic from the past is a lot more likeable than a lot of the new stuff i post, since to him it is ALL new. And if that keeps him coming back for more, there is going to be value in that. But, keep in mind that quality as well as quantity counts, in reposts and new pics alike. Also, reposts that were only posted for the first time days ago don't share this advantage that I mentioned. Recently, I dredged up my nus mais justes pics from a few years back because I knew they were REALLY old and buried deep inside the archives. But reposting something posted just the other day 3 pages back in a current thread is not creating a huge advantage to someone accessibility-wise. Either pic is about equally accessible.

I apologize to others for taking up time and space here for this, and the other day I thought a related rant should have been carried out by pm. So if I have more to say to Osreb, I will pm him. Osreb, your thanks total tell me you are valuable to OCC, and my only issue really has to do with in which threads you choose to post, as some are more geared towards original pics than others. Threads on narrow topics can peter out quickly, and although reposts can keep it bumped, too many will cause people to lose interest altogether. I'd rather let the thread fall back in the pack a little until more original pics surface. In part thats because it is disappointing (and time consuming) to see a favorite old thread bumped, open it up, and then find out the latest post only contains pics that have been heavily reposted elsewhere.

thanks,

Klondike

Same oppinion as u Klondike. The fact that I didn't post regurarly at this thread is just the simple fact that there are no much pics to find in the archives of internet anymore. There are always pics of naked women, in combination with water, but just some of the pics are to low for my standard to put them in this thread. I could put them in an other nudist thread, but the chance is way too big that it would be a repost. A repost is not a shame, unless it is way too early to repost it. They are like a good movie. Sometimes u want to look twice to it when there is enough time between them, so some pics are worth to repost like each year (unless I didn't know), for the new members. In my case I only did it maybe twice or 3 times. Concerning this thread I only want to post quality pics that are fitting my standard, but everyone is free to post whatever he/(she?) wants. I will do my best to upload pics, when I have time, and more important when there are some new. I hope to post soon again.

reposts happen its that simple
take me for example i have posted 30 gigs of pictures which comes out to be 54000 pictures how the heck are you going to remember 54000 pictures

in every one of these big threads 150000 views plus i am willing to bet there is at least 2 sets of reposts and in the lifes a beach thread i bet there are 4 sets of reposts
reposts just happen

take this post only 2 pages long and at least 5 repost in it

i have come to the conclusion

that most people coem her to look at pics; not to debate repost or new vs old pics, etc, etc, etc

Maybe we should have a rule that you cannot have a post wothout at least 1 pic.

as Tim coway said: I enjoy life because I enjoy making other people enjoy it.

Well i enjoy posting becasue other people enjoy what I post.

To Osreb and mrmarco - you can usually tell the difference between a poster that unknowingly posts occasional reposts (i.e "reposts happen" - we all do it) and posters who habitually post them in a way that suggests all pics are the same to them and they don't really care.

It is the latter type of poster I'm concerned with. Posters like that are in a definite minority here, that is the way that I like it, and I am not alone in that view..

...and Osreb IS on record as saying he really doesn't care.....and if he IS adamant in stating that, then i am just as adamant in stating that I do not want to him posting in my threads anymore...

lol, because other people enjoy? sure there's no other reason?

Again these are all reposts, which of course you know.
recycled and renamed from xx01.jpg etc.. as you do with most sets

Marco my friend I think your missing the main points here.. you seriously need to read all the comments of the last 3 pages !!

e.g. this comment posted by osreb,
" I really don't care if the pics are repost; if I like them I post them. "

To begin with, can you imagine what a mess this forum would be in if we all held the same attitude as osreb!?!

Ohh man don't talk about my beach thread!!.
It's so polluted with tons of "intentional" reposts in the last 100 pages or so that i've lost the hunger/motivation to search and post new material there!!

OK, now I'm even starting to agree with Klondike that the reposts are getting out of hand. You posted almost the EXACT SAME set of pictures here, with the same file names, just a month ago: https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/show...&postcount=948. Only one pic is different between the two posts.

im sorry
if a person is saying he dont care if he post a repost is different then the occasional repost, and if a person has that type attitude maybe he shouldn't be allowed to post in your threads you have my support there
