MLBPA and owners better get it together or spring training is going to be late. Worse yet...it could affect THIS THREAD!

No CBA and now we have the first two series of the season cancelled. One thing I'm glad the players nixed in talks was the owners wanting 14 playoff teams. How do you even do that with three divisions? 12 is what it will be -even that's a lot for my taste. It's hard for us fans to get our heads around the money involved. I try to remind myself that there are only 700 of these jobs in the world, it takes years to get The Show and the average career is pretty damned short. Still, they're doing the game no favors by once again cutting games out of the regular season. It makes statistics even less meaningful. It pisses off season ticket holders and MLB is already getting a lot less play on ESPN and talk radio. I hate it when I turn on sports radio in summer and MOST of the news is about sports out of season. I love the game, but like everything else, big money is destroying the fun. Well, anyway...that's my take. For those missing spring training, at least you've got this thread.

Still no CBA Agreement

With covid, war, inflation, climate change, political/culture clashes and Karens ...we really NEED baseball right now. To the folks who can't compromise on how to share billions of dollars that come from US, I offer you the words of Jimmy Dugan:
