as a sort of document or historical record, videos like the one below have value (at least to me) even if the quality is not that great. That is because this particular vid from the 2009 Fremont Parade shows the entire procession of riders from start to finish, so that you can count them all (if you are into that sort of thing) or just refer back to it at any time in the future to confirm that so and so rode that year. Here is the link:
http://www.youtube.com/v/oir3MQfXXZs I think this is the fremont Arts Council official vid or something. Don't know if it has been posted.. BTW - Of course I DID NOT count the riders. Think I am THAT obsessed? (I mean, I did it once already - so why do it again..?:)) Also - my favorite girl of the entire parade was dead last of all the cyclists. But just as she appears, they snip that segment a little too soon so that she vanishes before you really get a good look at her..... enjoy, Klondike |

I'd estimate that only 150-200 of the 250 pics I have up over at Flickr (user DavinS06) from Fremont 2009 ever got posted to OCC. Maybe even less. So here is a pic showing every thumb (square so not true thumbs) from that set.
All during the summer and fall, I continued to dribble pics at a rate of 1-4 a day into my Flickr photostream. So if you see a thumb below that looks intriguing, go check it out - the pic will be there somewhere. http://www.flickr.com/photos/davins0...7620057788503/ enjoy, Klondike |

OK, which of these statements is true: 1) Nudestock is an annual event held at Laguna del Sol naturist resort in California. 2) Nudestock is an annual event held at Franternity Snoqualmie Club in eastern Washington.
The answer is - BOTH of them. having seen many pics from the former, I was surprised to see so many young, shapely butts in this nudestock pic below. But that's because THIS pic is from the Fraternity Snoqualmie Nudestock, an event I did not know existed until now. Every naturist that comes up with the idea for the name "nudestock" must think they are being oh so clever.... Klondike |
NEWS FLASH! - WNBR arrest

NEWS FLASH! - One of the most visible members of the naked biking community up in Seattle was arrested two days ago following a complaint or two that occured during last summers West Seattle WNBR. The arrest is for indecent exposure. This is a major news story! I attended that ride, and so it really hits me where I live. I saw Daniel Johnson and his friends happily biking naked around the neighborhood and showing everyone what the clothing optional experience is all about. Daniel is a Flickr friend and a founding member of Seattle's Naked Pumpkin Run. He is active as a leader and promoter of various naked events, and posts pics on his photostream as well as hosts a couple of Flickr groups. I have written him to offer my support.
here is a pic from that ride taken by me. I'm looking for pics of him (not that it really matters, but I'm just curious). BTW - the complaint was lodged by locals with kids that they (horrors....) did not want to expose to nudity! DJ faces a possible $5000 fine and/or a year in jail. I'm not sure I know of any other arrests associated with a WNBR. Maybe Eugene, OR (cops put a damper on that in 2008 but not sure they actually made any arrests) WNBR's generally have the cooperation of the police, and the same was true on that day in Seattle too. it was only later that the complaint was lodged and acted upon. edit: You don't make this exactly clear in your post, but was he riding around away from the prescribed WNBR route? That might be what the complaint is about. Can you clear up this point, please? Thanks Fango |
A fine of that size and/or a year in jail? That seems a bit harsh just for being nude in public. I always thought streakers etc, if caught, would get a small fine or maybe some community service time, at the worst.

Most of my info is coming from this source: http://westseattleblog.com/blog/?p=25925 Two complaints were filed the day of the ride, but for some reason not acted upon until now. Police were instructed to only intervene (i.e. tell riders to stop, cover up etc) in the event of a complaint. Apparently they did so when they told riders not to continue onto the beach, and later when they may have asked them to dress. No one was riding off course or behaving inappropriately. I gather from one of the comments to the article that for a charge of indecent exposure to stick, one has to be doing something lewd or be nude specifically to shock others. This was obviously not the case. I got a Flickr mail back from Daniel. He says "yeah, this sucks!" (not surprising), then he said he wants to see my pics (for reasons not connected in any way to the charge). Otherwise, he did not elaborate. I'll probably write him back once more and if anyone wants to offer support, advice, or ask a question, I can relay that to him. Anyway, i did not give out his Flickr name and we should stay off of his photostream for now. He has enough to contend with. But I can relay any of your thoughts, and maybe pm me if you want to continue this off the forums. KLondike |
