The pool parties are at Babylone on Wednesdays and Fridays.. they have started now and run through the season. Dress code?! Naturist village.. nude is great.. some girls wear a thong and amazingly some guys wear shorts but mainly it's a nude party. Not sure about the vibe but if anything like the last few years it will start slowly about 2ish and then ramp up to a full on fuck fest by 4/5pm..

Views are mixed on the new venue.. slicker and nicely presented but there was something unique about the old place.. Whatever your view it would be hard not to have a good time..

We know everyone must be 100% barefoot in the Mousse parties, ... is that the same for pool parties too or sandals/shoes allowed there? Women usually look more sexy when naked with only high heels than barefoot, and my gf loves her choices of high heels (me too LOL).

At the pool party, high stripper heels are encouraged.. at least for the girls ;) That's such a great look..

I spent all Saturday naked and I must say you feel a bit uncomfortable in the evenings as your the odd one out

My girlfriend broke her leg today and so we cannot go to our long anticipated trip to CDA this week. She is doing as good as you can do with a broken leg.

Given that it is so last minute accident, our hotel Babylon cannot refund or let us reuse the funds for this booking dates today thru July 3rd, unless some other couple books all or part of it. They are otherwise totally sold out for those dates, so if any of you are looking for a room in Babylon for any of those dates, you may want to call AGN. If you book the room, will you please let us know so that we can get some refund of the expensive room?

FYI... the legendary pool parties at Babylon started now, every Wednesdays and Fridays, free to hotel guests.

Yes, we've now been on the campsite a week... in the village this morning the vast majority of people were wearing shorts & t-shirts etc. We've paid money to be somewhere like this, we're staying naked!!!

Very hot last week, Monday cloudy and mild, hottish yesterday afternoon and evening, thunderstorm last night. Sunny and warm this morning but a bit cloudy, don't know which way it's going to go!

Monday was very chilly. Yesterday was fine until the very late afternoon. Rain started at around 8.30 pm (we had to use key to get back in Helio Village after pooing out to buy more bread).
As many had left the beach early very few were still naked at sundowners.

A quick rant...
 

Went for a walk round the village Saturday early evening, nice weather. Almost all the men were wearing mini skirts as usual. What's that all about? It's a naturist village so why are most people wearing clothes and why do men feel the need to wear something akin to Julian Clary's idea of a kilt? (My wife wonders if it's the clothed people coming in to have a perv at naked people!) Sorry to moan, it's probably something to do with leaving Sunday morning and I'm typing this at home :(

Bit off topic... but are there any other beaches in Europe remotely like Agde in terms of the atmosphere - perhaps in Germany?

There are loads of places with a much better nude atmosphere for sure (Croatia and Spain are best), but its quite unique on the swinging scene.

You will find plenty of nudity in Germany. But if you are hoping to find a beach there, your map might be a few decades too old...

There are other naturist resorts in France, for example 'Oasis Village'. We go to Cap d'Agde for 9 summers now and visited Oasis last August for a daytime trip. Compared to Cap d'Agde, Oasis is much more a family resort. You don't find the swinger lifestyle. Nudity is well respected in Oasis but the women there are not so 'exhibitionist' like in Cap d'Agde.
Wo observed 2 main differences walking along the beachside.
- In Cap d'Agde the majority of the women shave their pubic hair, most have completely smooth genitals, so they fully expose their intimate parts. There a even 3 beauty shops offering full pubic waxing for both women and men. During our visit to Oasis we saw a few women completely shaven but most have nearly natural pubic hair or are trimmed short.
- In Oasis intimate piercings the exception, in Cap d'Agde many women wear rings in their breasts or have their labia or clitoris pierces.

I know Germany has little coastline as such, but I wondered if there were lake or river beaches with the same... exhibitionist atmosphere that the poster above captures so well!

In a different style, in the countryside in the ardèche, there is in France the Le Ran du Chabrier.

Hi, we are from Luxembourg near the German border. We don't think Germany has beaches along lakes or rivers with 'the same atmosphere' like Cap d'Agde.
In Cap d'Agde you can find every kind of naturists, on the right side of the beach you have the family beach, parents with their children. At the other end the beach is for more 'open minded people, loving the 'swinging and exhibitionist lifestyle'.
During daytime most people are completely naked inside the resort, but during the last 3 summers more and more women wear a thong or towel for walking from their apartment to the beach.
Last August we observed that 70-80% of the women had no or little pubic hair. Joelle had done a full pubic waxing at the beauty shop 'Ladybel' situated inside the resort near Port Ambone. As she had never shaved completely smooth, at the beginning she asked the esthetician Nicole to leave some hair on the pubic mound. As she had natural pubic hair, Nicole started to trim the hair with electric clippers to nearly stubble and then applied the wax. After +- 30 min Joelle was nearly smooth except for a small patch on the pubic mound. She stand up and checked the result in the mirror, the remaining patch didn't cover her intimate parts and her vulva was fully exposed, she then asked Nicole to wax her completely smooth. Nicole told us that nearly all female clients coming in for a pubic waxing ask to be smooth. She thinks that women spending 1 or 2 weeks in an large naturist resort like Cap d'Agde should also remove their pubic hair to be 'really nude'.

I'm sorry but this is simply not the case. Sadly the people wearing clothes are now in a significant majority. At least 3 in 4 men now wear shorts or those idiotic sarong skirts that have become a plague on the place. Women wear them as well and many others wear different versions of skimpy coverings. Even on the hottest days few are fully naked.

It gets worse every year and this year in particular the wearing of full bikinis is reaching crazy levels. Even on the beach which was one almost 100% nude clothes are worn more and more. The sad reality is that more and more people in Agde are not naturists and have no intention of going nude.

I am not sure it's so bad but there is no doubt a worrying trend of wearing clothes.. Sat at 1664 recently, a rough count suggested 50% had some form of clothing. Interestingly, at Paralia Beach after parties more people than ever are covering up for the DJ set; whereas once nudity was very common and those wearing clothes were in a minority, this changes yearly. Partly, we think, because nudity tends to encourage or lead to sexual behaviour which is unacceptable in a public bar so management is happy to have clothed people. This year we saw small coach-loads of young people arriving around six, all dressed in swimwear. It's a real pity but Cap is changing as the 'Exchangiste' Euro pulls so much power..

What amuses us...

Easy solution?
 

We think there is a very easy and simple solution to this problem of people not being fully nude in a nudist city! Just make the madatory dress code of the parties (e.g. at Parilla) and clubs as full-nude only. Glamour Beach foam party did this, and it definitely boosted their business as well. Almost same for the pool parties at Babylon. Maybe even shops, restaurants and bars can experiment with this full-nude only dress code? Probably making dress code mandatory full-nude will increase the business of any establishment in any nudist city, as it will simply encourage people to do something they heard of and came for, but might be a bit shy to start with. We know this for fact in our case ... my GF was shy to be full-nude in public until she had to fully strip to get in the Glamour Beach foam party ... then onwards she didn't even want to wear even a stich of cloth all day except for the barely-there dresses for the evenings of rest 10 days of our vacation!

And naturally most people will remain nude at the beach as they are already nude in everywhere else in the nudist city!

Only thing we wish is that the Glamour Beach foam party allowed at least the non-stilleto wedge-type high heels/sandals for women ... that would have looked sooooo much sexier but still classy on them, and in turn probably make most women feel sexier too! :-)

Makes sense? If you are a business owner in CDA, maybe you can try this mandatory nude-only dress code for few weeks?

We saw several times women walking fully nude along the beach side but for leaving the beach they put a string bikini. When Joelle had her pubic hair removed in August 2017 she put a towel the first morning for going from the hotel EVE to the beach but this was the only time she wasn't nude during daytime. We have a lot of German and Dutch friends in Cap d'Agde, most of them have smooth genitals and they never wear something inside the resort or for having a drink at Bar 'L'Horizon' in front of the beach. An Dutch couple told us they shave their pubic hair to be 'more nude', so they see don't any reason to be not nude for walking inside the resorts.
