Time to leave the stage
I suspect her husband controls the pictures. She likes the favorites and the comments; he doesn't like her exposure and shut it down. I think it was a smart. She could only show more skin or watch audience loses interest. Maybe that's not good for a relationship. She's was smart to quit while she was on top. The worst sin in any kind of entertainment is to be boring. Her own site was trending that way, and the photos her husband posts have become sinfully dull. She was wonderful, and lovely. She had a good sense of her audience, she knew how to be a star. And when she ran out of new ideas, she left. And by leaving when she did, she showed she has an excellent sense of timing. She will be missed.

all gone
all of the private photos on her account are now gone as well -- many of which could still be found (linked) on groups like Mr. Pasta. but even those have now been removed in the last month. very sad to see such a popular flickr regular almost disappear in a way ....

And I should note that I have respect for both of them as artists. I followed his site when it had only a few pictures of her because it had some really great artwork. He operates at a high level of talent, no matter what he does. And the photographs he shared on his wife's Flickr site were extraordinary--they transcended what everyone else was doing, and it gave her one of the largest fan bases on Flickr. It was (and probably still is) his superpower. The problem is that they were victims of their values, possibly their jealousies. Their work became stale and redundant--evolution into tasteful nudes was the logical next step that would have unleashed his creativty but at a cost. His latest photos of her, and of nature, still are. Everyone, including artists, fall into slumps, and they almost always come back strong. I'm sure he will. I had some close friends--a painter and his wife. Not just a painter, but someone did bowls of fruit with the same artistic quality you see in museums. But for every bowl of fruit, there are hundreds of painted nudes. But his wife wouldn't let him paint nudes. So they starved, and he decided to quit painting and got the only job he could--at a fast food restaurant. Finally, it was too much for him, and he determined to paint nudes anyway. He wanted to be successful and be remembered as a great artist. She was happy to see him unhappy and willing for him to quit what he loved and live a miserable existence as long as he didn't paint nudes. (She was not willing to model for him und****d, or let him paint other und****d models.) Their marriage ended. She was too selfish to let him do the type of work all great artists do; he was selfish in that he put his art above his wife and family. It was an utterly stupid outcome. I'm sure Bear's husband has extraordinary and tasteful nudes of her. But he does not publish them. Bear would hang prominently in and museum for photographic art and she and her husband would be remembered as great artists for hundreds of years, just like my friend's nudes are now in museums of contemporary art all over the world. But maybe that's not what they want. Alfred Steiglitz elevated both himself and his wife Georgia O'Keefe to master artists after the publication of his nudes of her. Although O'Keefe was a respected artist in her own right, her work as a model is still considered some of her greatest work. But not every couple, even photographer and model, want to be a Steiglitz/O'Keefe team. I can't help but think of what could be, but it's not for me to decide. |

Several years ago she posted a set of her and someone she referred to as her best friend forever and it was a really sexy set of her and another woman. Does anybody have that?

Its shopped, but it's hot!

Only the background is edited, the body is her and she is nude.
That is the only photo like this and it was (accidentally?) posted for a few minutes in her flickr account years ago. |

I agree This is the real deal for Bear

She has teased the flickr community for years with non-nude or non revealing photos. When you post so much there is always a risk you might let one slip that you did not mean to. Attached is one of my favorite "revealing but not revealing" photos of her.
I do hope that her absence is not from some creep stalking her or harassing her on line. |

People who act like assholes online ruin it for everyone. Judging from the message above, that's what happened. They finally got enough of the assholes. |
Rude people do ruin things
Being married to someone as attractive as Bear, they (or she) surely get unwelcome passes regularly. But on social media, it must be ugly and sometimes frightening. I don't see anything wrong with people asking for types of politely (some people take requests), but if they don't want to, live with it. Nobody's got a right to anyone's images.
As an aside, he seems to be upset that he got more comments on his wife's pictures than his bird pictures. I like his bird pictures, but people are people, and they'll go for a sexy woman over a bird. Having said that, he really does great bird, nature, and portrait photography. The bird pictures always have the critter's eye in sharp focus, and that is key to nature photography He should be making his living as a photographer, whether it's birds or people. It is too bad Bear is going away. She did the most lovely and creative glamor-type work I've seen. And they only photographed in a few places but managed to make each picture different, fresh, and enticing. It wasn't just Bear's beauty but his skill as a photographer that made her so popular. He obviously took a lot of time and effort to create work of such outstandingly high quality. I think if I poured as much into making a beautiful image, I'd get pissed at people who were dissatisfied and acted like I owed them more. |

That is at least more realistic that some of the old Photoshop fakes of her I have seen.
He has already began re-posting old photos. So, one of them (or both of them) really love the attention! |

"bear is ok. Job hunting and tired of stolen and misused use of photos" Hopefully someday she'll start posting NEW photos again. Until then, I guess it wasn't such a bad idea to post her pictures here, was it?! |
There is a few new photos on hubbies account.
Nothing exciting but at least some news. Also he posts their daughter from time to time, a sweet young lady |
