ow, I hope #16 won

This was only my second year attending, and I only caught part of the day last year, so I'm not really in a position to judge. My impression was it was plenty crowded. I did overhear more than one person say they remember bigger crowds in the past. Take that for whatever it's worth... everything in your memory is better than real life.

I know it took place. I saw the crowds move over there, and I heard some cheering. Honestly, after watching that event last year I decided it's too much time sitting in one very uncomfortable spot (there's my bad back issues again), listening to too much ear-damaging music, for too little reward. Very similar to my reasons for avoiding the main stage.

Forget all the big scheduled events. You get much closer to many more unclothed women by wandering around the sidelines. That's my opinion, anyway.

Not that I'll be complaining at all when photos from the main events get posted! :D

Even though I've been deliberately glossing over most of the unpleasant stuff besides the weather... here's some "behind the scenes" of that series of photos at the fence, that I was calling the parade.

I lucked out and was standing close by when one guy up front at the fence turned around and walked away, so I stepped into his place. The other guy next to me tried for the same spot... it wasn't quite a full elbow check from him, but close. He didn't say anything, just glared. I ignored him. He went away.

On the other side of the fence was an official event photographer who had a real talent for standing exactly between me and the girl. He had a stretch of forty feet of fence to work, and he spent about a third of his time in front of me. Maybe he liked me or something.

I grumbled something under my breath about the official photographer, and the geezer next to me took that as his cue to be my buddy. For twenty minutes he kept up this weird kind of whining, rambling monologue about the angles and the sun and the clouds and the official photographer and the guy pushing him and the drunks and the bugs... and I'm seriously hard of hearing, so I only was catching every other word. I just nodded, said "yeah", and kept taking pictures.

But the good times far outweighed the bad. I'm going back next year. :)

Only a vet like you who endures the heat & rain & the dick-heads & takes quality images that you have done, deserves the Ron Jemery NAP official photographer award.!!!!!! (& I've been there too when it rains & the crowd get un-ruly) All my best to you & keep posting & THANKS!!!! I just have to post my DVD's from the 90's from NAP -land ..... Yes, the rewards of your own captured images for your collection out-weigh the bad baggage that comes with NAP!!! WOW!!!!

Really, I don't have anything different or new to post... all my remaining photos are the pictures taken between what's already here, so they're the same girls in the same places.

What's the best way to share all of them, just in case there's something there that somebody else would like? I'm setting up a Flickr account right now. I've never tried doing anything with mediashare.
