Popular spa treatment at naturist resorts in France. The strong water pressure combined with alternating hot and cold water (or for fitter and more vigorous or hardy clients just cold water) stimulates blood flow, tones skin and muscles, aids weight loss, etc. In years gone by this treatment was also used to treat "hysteria" in ladies who could not orgasm during intercourse with their husbands as the strong water pressure and stimulating temperatures were used to give them a climax. It's true...and maybe still happens...

Bucket Shower

Here is a bucket shower, used to cool down after a sauna. The bucket fills up with cold water and then you pull the string to tip the cold water all over your body - it must be a really intense feeling!
