In my lifetime, I’ve seen toplessness going from being extremely rare, to almost universal and now fading out again.

There’s similar thing with nudism. On a beach in Greece I first went to 25 years ago, the the naked people freely mixed with the non-nudists. It was all free and easy - a lovely atmosphere. About ten years ago, a strict demarkation was introduced. The nudists are now restricted to a small not so nice corner out of the way.

Been talking to my wife about visiting a nudist beach as she prefers brown boobs, as do I, she hates wearing a wet bikini top, but says toplessness on a european beach now is such a niche activity she basically says it would feel wrong and not culturally appropriate. This from the woman who used to whip them out the second she got to the beach or pool.

She is howvere into the idea of feeling liberated from her own body perspective and surprisingly last night admitted she was open to going to a nudist beach as she said that'd likely be the only place others would now be topless, so she could feel at home with her norks on show. I suspect if toplessness on standard beachs was still rife her being acceptable to visiting a nude beach wouldn't be on the table. So this may be a positive to the overall depressive outlook.

This would mean, having not done the nude beach before myself either, I'd have to get my old boy out, which would be fine (but would take some self control not to outwardly show the enjoyment I'm sure I was having)
It would also mean my wife would hopefully go bottomless too; watching others enjoy my wife's muff on show would likely be a greater thrill than watching them see her tits.

So I now need to plan how I make this happen. Difficult with kids on the scene on all our holidays abroad for the foreseeable. The UK all seems a bit cold to me, but would present the greatest prospect of kid free days and just many more opportunities in terms of timings. Difficult to know where to start.

Up here in Canada I would go to wreck beach in the 70 and there were maybe a couple hundred people and all were naked and enjoying the freedom to enjoy the day uninhibited.

1980 you saw more people and the odd partner would just be topless or maybe stay covered but enjoyed the day with their naked partner.

Now in 2020s there seems to be thousands going and about 70% textiles and tourists all wanting to capture the perfect selfie to post saying they are “at Wreck, so awesome!”…

But they have missed the opportunity to know what was so “awesome” about Wreck.
Going naked and free without the textiles and tourists…..

If they would only just join in they would realize the freedom and peace that created the incredible vide they themselves are eroding year after year.

There is one official nude beach and hundreds of textile beaches. If you choose Wreck or any others “nude beach”.
Put the phone in your shorts pocket, put your shorts in your bag and enjoy the sun on your skin.

I promise it will be awesome and you can tell your friends all about it on the way home… and invite them to join in next week.

This trend was confirmed on a cruise we just went on. Ibiza, which used to be tons of topless women only had a half dozen on the beach we visited. Cannes, which used to be the gold standard for topless tanning, had none! What a sad world. Lol
At least we had a balcony room, so she could be topless while we were sailing.

There were even more topless, every ages. The ocean beaches are much bigger but all around there were topless women. Some lonely, some in couple, family, groups.
And walking a bit, even naturists and mixed groups. Some friends or family with full swimsuits, some topless, sone nudes. That was the 1st time that we saw such an open minded place.
So my wife was happy to be topless all the time we went to the beach.
That was a long time that we haven't seen little girls only with bottoms or teens topless. My wife was happy to see it, she reminded when she was younger.
We looked at other beaches around, the behaviour was the same. So it depends really where you are going to.
Thanks, can you SHARE other story with your wife, you said me in past that yours wife and her friends were always topless in Nice's beach.

irish people getting naked
 
So am irish and in ireland we don’t sunbath topless.
Today I went to a nude beach in ireland
White cliff to be correct.
90% men but there was a cpl of women.
2 Brazilian both very very hot. One black one white. Not a bad start. Then 4 old irish women not Great bit seeing irish women is still good.
Then a young dublin woman, kept saying I can’t do this to her bf. He strips nude and I watch as she first goes topless and then fully nude. Great day

I remember being on the island of Ios 20 years ago and watching a group of cute Irish girls walk onto the beach, roll their beach towels out next to us, sit down in their bikinis and, seeing all the other young ladies with thier tits out on the beach, proceeded to get their lovely Irish norks out too. Me and wife have recently talked about visiting Ireland, and also visiting a nude beach. Maybe we could combine the 2?
I'm a bit worried about what you said re 90% men, think that may put her off stripping off. Keen to find out nude beaches that are more 50/50

Wife says on ibiza toplessness was kind of expected back in tge day. Women she's been there with who never would have considered going topless on a beach if asked about it at home would feel obliged to on an ibiza beach apparently. I can think of a couple of examples of her friends, one of which is of conservative Indian Asian background, who felt like they had to get them out over there, which even now I find surprising (and hot) knowing them and how prudish they are.
One holiday one of her friends kept her top on because one of the male friends they were with was really keen on her and was being really creepy, so she decided she didn't want him to see her tits. But all the other girls including my wife had their norks out, and my wife said it was really really weird that this one friend had her bikini top on and almost a bit embarrassing when they were all at the beach together.

So this is really upsetting if even Ibiza is mainly women with their tits covered up now.

My generation is missing out
 
Being on the younger side, I can't help feel but my generation is missing out when it comes to toplessness on beaches. I'm grateful that regular clothes are more revealing than ever but I definitely wish women were still going topless as much as I see other older guys on here talking about. I made a post recently about my girlfriend getting topless on a beach but that was at night when she thought no one was going to see her (one guy and one couple did see her).

From my POV, I think the two biggest factors are cameras on phones and guys being openly creepy to women on the beach. I've even had a situation where a guy was being creepy toward my girlfriend on the beach (she wasn't topless) and I had to step in. In general, I don't think women feel as safe getting topless on the beach due to these two main reasons. Which is a huge shame, I want to see boobs and have other guys checking out my girlfriend's boobs.

Best i could get from my wife on the beach this year was a quick flash :( (yeah thats her in the pic)
Not one single topless woman the entire vacation spotted, which is pretty rare since we where in Holland.
