Reclining

When a lady does a pose like this on a bed with a soft mattress, her hips will sink in a little and the upward pressure of the mattress surface will tend to press her bottom cheeks together. However, if she does the same pose on a model stand or floor with only a half inch of exercise matte for cushioning, gravity will pull her lower cheek downward, in effect, opening her up as in this drawing. This is just an observation for artists, photographers and models to consider when planning poses.

This lady worked in the building next door to the studio where we used to hold our erotic drawing workshop sessions. She wasn't a professional model, but she wanted to earn some extra money posing for us. We told her we were erotic artists and if she wanted to pose for us she would have to show us everything. And she did.
