Twin towers of Grossmuenster church, old town of Zurich, Canton of Zurich, Switzerland - Did a bit of googling!

This is Zurich (Switzerland). The name of the church is "Grossmünster".

Or it is shot in the German city of Hamburg, St. Pauli district or in another German city where they have the exact same type of building containing on the left a regular Ibis Hotel and on the right a Ibis budget, formerly known as Etap hotel.
You see also in the background somewhere an German ad on a building.

Thanks to that excellent hint from stevin6, I can confirm it's the ferris wheel ("riesenrad") at Hamburger Dom, "...a large fair held at Heiligengeistfeld fair ground in central Hamburg, Germany." (Wikipedia). See youtube.com/watch?v=KweM_MxTBJg , especially at about 35 seconds and following, to see the same background, though without the sign on the wall, as in the picture.
