I'm not going to post personal photos if friends here but you get an idea from this picture. It's a professional zoomed in pic. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi..._Las_Vegas.jpg What gives the original away is the waste high half window. That runs across the entire balcony of Mix You can see the glass in the photo I posted |

On top of the buildings not being spaced correctly, it should be noted that the lights on the Luxor are not like those of the picture on the right. As anyone who has been to Las Vegas can attest, the Luxor has a giant white spotlight that shoots straight up. It has a visible beam of light going towards the sky. Luxor doesn't have the lighted band of white lights 1/3 of the way down, and doesn't have green/red lights on it's edges. http://www.lasvegaslogue.com/accommo...s-vegas-2.html Also, the Excalibur doesn't have blue lights on the top spanning each tower. It only has blue lights on the corners of the towers, so that building in the background can't be Excalibur. http://inapcache.boston.com/universa...8_00000708.jpg |

Google maps - there is no angle I can see from anywhere on the Mandalay Bay property where the view would encompass the entire Luxor pyramid as in that photo and not be looking down the strip. Now looking at the same Google maps there is nothing big to the west of the Luxor so it "might" be possible to get a view like that from a higher floor on a building east of it, that would also include the mountains in the background. Using street view I can't duplicate the view because it is just too low of an angle but I can come close enough that I can't rule it out. Edit.. I didn't find any evidence of that lighting scheme either, was just trying to see if it was even physically possible to get that view. It hasn't been lit like that anytime I've been in Vegas that I can remember. |

Can anyone figure out the location of this zoo/animal sanctuary?
|
Quote:
1. There is a O'Steen family doing business in Jacksonville with a Kenneth and a Roger who both managed the Six O, LCC. 2. There is a zoo in Jacksonville having a siamang exhibit. 3. The plates in the zoo look kind of similar: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...rldExhibit.jpg I would say it's Jacksonville, near the Great Apes Exhibit. |

Does anyone recognize this bridge? It appears that there was some flooding when this pic was taken. The cup she is holding has the logo from the 2008 Final Four that was held in San Antonio, Texas, but I'm not sure if that cup was distributed elsewhere as part of some promotion.http://www.ncaamarchmadness2008.com/mens/index.aspx
