Just watched the Brighton ride go along the sea front, I would guess about 600 plus riders, but it looked like quite a few were partially dressed, due to the wind. So looking forward to photos this evening.

I was rather hoping to keep her name off these pages, but yes she should be riding at the moment!

Thanks mate, I know I 'exposed' her some months ago, but wanted her to remain anonymous as she is very, very nervous about this event and possibly a little nieve about the predatory snappers etc. I think she intended to get herself painted this morning, but hopefully the odd image of her will find its way on to Flickr in the coming days.

A few fairly tame images from The Guardian- only really of interest to highlight more as-yet-unseen chicks (is that the 2015 medic in pic #3?). It was a female photographer apparently, and the photos are from various points along the ride- wonder if she got swept up and got naked too.

Also the last image is just confirmation that I didn't miss any furtive nudity at the Edinburgh World Swimsuit Bike Ride yesterday- just one chick topless under a jacket, and I doubt I'll ever be bored enough to try to find nipslips.

There's going to be quite a deluge over the next few days- I don't remember so many of the major rides across the world happening all together on a weekend before.?

London, mediocre? These are classy ladies and more are being posted almost every minute.

Thanks Crispus for this- that vid inspired me to jot down a few observations, mainly because of the fact that after the London and Brighton rides last year suffered from such unusually dreary weather, and the many reasons for fearing this year might have been ominous for both rides;

Firstly, the police presence. A motorcade of bikes paving the way, with police bicycles discreetly scattered through the field. Followed by a police van! This has got to be the most robust WNBR organisation ever, which is reassuring. London organisers should take note, although Brighton is obviously a pretty unique place and with six start points, London policing would be much more costly. Hopefully by 2018 such policing will be unnecessary.

Secondly that it seemed the majority of female riders were nude. Maybe that's down to Caroline Lucas doubling her majority last Thursday!

And thirdly- correct me if I'm wrong on this- but I see many more riders (female, obviously, who pays any attention to the male riders...) who are co-ordinating between rides- over and above the obvious nudist regulars. Notable examples being the regular curly haired girl-next-door girl who stressed about stewarding in London yesterday was there, again fully nude, but more relaxed. The svelte cropped brunette who was a regular rider in Cardiff before branching out to Bristol and Brighton was again there; as was the bespectacled Bristol nude yoga chick and our good friend Lucy Lume on her third ride- surely the latter a record for an inaugeral year! Sadly I didn't see Naomi or Tish- last year was the first year one of them rode without the other, so one hopes if they were indeed lovers, that they haven't split. That would make the world a much sadder place.

But my point there is that might this just be the year the major UK WNBRs properly consolidated into a fully co-ordinated movement- like the moment when Glastonbury went from being a load of hippies getting stoned in a field to being a sophisticated, professional operation. Wishful thinking, maybe but... if so I'm gonna have to get me a bike.

Didn't mean that to be an essay- it's just that I'm sure I'm not alone in having had not-so-optimistic expectations of this year. Cardiff, over to you!

Brighton turned out to be much more pleasant, weather wise, than the forecast suggested. But the war against snappers has reached the point now where many people are going to stop covering this ride. I try to keep a civil tongue in my head but was forced to use some strong words today.

You are naked in a public place taking part in an event which uses nudity as the main selling point to attract publicity...what the fuck do you think is going to happen? Yes, lots of photographers turn up and take pictures of you. The nature of the event means that often, asking permission isn't possible or desirable.

I seem to recall seeing some very attractive young ladies here and there - I would go so far as to see it was a bumper year for people interested in that kind of thing :D

I did the ride and have to agree - the marshalls and stewards (and the riders, too) were very anti photographer today - much more than ever before.

At the second rest stop, the riders had the police remove a photographer from the area - the first time I've ever seen that.

But everyone was telling photographers to ask permission for photos - even when they had already asked permission - they were jumping to conclusions that they hadn't.

Am I the only one who noticed this woman? I love the attire - cycling jersey, but pulled up over the large boobs. LONG socks, but only covering the the legs and leaving the lady parts exposed. She isn't my body type, but sometimes, it is about attitude. I love this lady's attitude. Plus, don't miss the matching world champ markings on jersey, bike and gloves. That is attention to detail.

I must add; your work, as (I presume) a professional photographer, is stunning. Are the Brighton organisers aware of your portfolio? From what I know of it, your photos are always friendly, relaxed and joyous- those you've uploaded to Flickr so far this year are far better than any official WNBR images I've ever seen. I wonder if different OCC/Flickr usernames would help, if as I presume the joykills are snooping on this forum?

It was great to meet you as well.
I have to agree the stewards this year were far to aggressive and rude.
I was approached by one while standing near the lanes in Brighton waiting for the ride to come by, I was asked why I was going to take pictures and was accused of being a pornographer, I was later warned once again that I must ask permission to take pics of individuals, even though at the time I was standing talking to my friend and was not even taking any pictures.
