Mexican movie EUF
 

I don't contribute because I'm a novice at computers, but I do love how this forum is run. I found a movie on You Tube called "Cuando Me Dio El Anillo El Diablo". About the 24:00 minute mark there is a pretty good EUF scene in a bank. Maybe someone who knows what they're doing can utilize it.

I remember seeing a gas station sketch like this from a Freddie Starr program - unfortunately the scene where the girl's dress is apparently vacuumed off was edited out (the skit was shown as part of a kid's program in the USA.) Anyone seen the original version?

I did have this sketch. A girl and a man were at the gas station and a drunk had the vaccum hose. It cuts to the girl struggling to keep her dress down while the man's wig flies off.
The girls dress comes off and she spends a few moments in the wind covering herself. True Benny Hill style.

Years ago, I saw a "making of" documentary (I think it was on E), that showed a clip of this rehearsal. Anyone know what I'm talking about, or have that clip (or any material related to the deleted parts of this scene)?

Need help locating this scene
 

I'm looking to find a film that's been stuck in my memory since childhood. As best as I can recall the film was made in the late 30's or early 40's. The plot was a love triangle between an American man, his blonde fiance, and a Latin female who steals the attention of the man from the blonde. In the critical scene, the Latin does a musical number and at the conclusion has a confrontation with the blonde. The Latin says something like "I'll never give him up!" and turns to walk away. She's wearing a floor length evening gown. The blonde sees her chance and steps on the trailing hem of the gown. The back of the gown rips out nearly to the waist revealing alot of leg. The Latin keeps walking and breaks in to a trot a she leaves the scene. Her distress is noted by several male onlookers who chuckle at her situation.

The scene may have been on board ship, but I am not certain. This is from a single viewing close to 50 years ago and has stuck in my head like the scene from "Beginner's Luck". "Beginner's Luck" is readily available, as we all know. At one time I thought this was from the "Mexican Spitfire" series of films, but research has shown that to be incorrect.

Anyone have any ideas? Am I wrong about the "Spitfire" series and I just haven't found the right installment? For me this is the Holy Grail. Any help is appreciated.

I don't know the movie but if its one of the mexican spitfire movies the actress's name was lupe velez if that helps.

Thanks dencar84. I know Lupe Velez. I've screened some of her other films besides the "Spitfire" series for this particular scene, but had no luck. The male lead may have been a pilot. He flies the Latin girl out of a bad situation thinking she is much younger than she actually is. They get to the states and she cleans up and is much more mature and attractive than he realized. It could be he is wealthy and the blonde fiance doesn't want to lose out on the dough.

At any rate I'm trying to remember as much as I can in hopes someone will know of this film.

I believe the film you seek is "Belle of Old Mexico." It stars another latin spitfire Estelita Rodriguez. I'm attaching a lobby card that depicts the scene you describe. As a side note, I remember another film with Estelita that features a few EUF moments called "Tropical Heat Wave." I recommend you check that one out also.

I've been called many things over the years and now genius is one of them! Glad I could help. I've hear about this scene for years and always assumed it was from a Mexican Spitfire film. So, thanks back to you for revisiting this one and spurring me to give it some thought.

Now, actually finding it appears to be a little tricky. I don't think this film has ever been released on DVD. My only thought is that TCM might show it one of these days. This is a Republic Feature and Turner does show a lot of them. The channel takes suggestions over at its website. Maybe if a few of us submitted the title they might show it.
