I've been at both resorts and nude beaches. The biggest difference is when everyone is at eye-level - the nude beach - laying or sitting in the sand; well you see a lot more. I have seen through the years some variation or several of the pics below. My biggest "yikes" moment was at the beach last year; I was lying in the sand, turned around, looked up and came "face-to-apple" with a woman sitting directly behind me - in a stance very similar to the first pic!
Sure, I saw more of her than I expected. But when you hang out at the nude beach a lot, well you're going to see that in various ways, and you just get used to it. It's very different when you look at pics, because they're just moments "frozen"; most people move around and rarely stay just continuously open.

At the resort people are a tad more self-aware. It's a smaller, more closed-up environment. But even my ex would sometimes bend over of lay by the pool legs ajar. Again that's just a normal part of nudism and body-freedom. No need to get hung up about how "open" you are. That's one of the things I love about nudism.

Although my wife and I have been going to nude beaches for over 45 years, we only started going to nudist resorts the last three or four years. However, since going to nude resorts, I have a question or two about the states of nudity. (1) Why in the cool mornings do the males walk around with shirts on and nothing else? I tend to think that I would rather keep the family jewels warm, rather than my upper body. So why the balls and dick with no cover and shirts on the upper body? (2) Why do people go to a Friday or Saturday evening with some clothes on? The women usually wear very sexy revealing clothes to start the evening, while men wear something like silk boxers or a short smoking jacket/robe at the beginning. However, several hours later, all the clothes are handing on the chairs and everyone is naked. Why not just start out naked? Just a couple of honest questions about my newfound lifestyle.

It is a naturist custom (for both M & F) to show you are genuinely naturist and partly covering up due to the cold and not "modesty". I think most people want to cover their head, shoulders and chests first to keep warm eg woolen jumpers rather than woolen trousers..


I'm not so sure about this one, I haven't had the same experience as you.
Many European naturist resorts have a custom of dressing for dinner or require clothing in indoor restaurants. I've never seen sexy clothing or "nightwear" worn at these places.

This clothing requirement might be due to being easier to recruit staff?; hygiene: incorrect fear of pubes dropping in buffet, correct fear of edge of towel touching buffet food or knocking something over. Evenings? - it's usually getting cooler by then anyway.

Naked by day, sexy clothing at night is (I am told) associated with places which tolerate swinging rather than pure naturist eg parts of Cap d'Agade.

No experience with the second but it has been my experience that it is my torso and arms that gets cold but my legs, etc. don't as much.

The Mrs and me are naturists for more than 40 years.

Sexual activity and sexy clothing are a no go at European naturist resorts and campings.
When it is to cold for staying completely naked it is common to cover from the top down. Keeping the torso warm is most important.
During altogether diners (at least in the evening) it is common to dress for the participants. The ones not participating in diner usualy stay naked and stay away from the dinertables It is a hygene matter I suppose.

Usualy it is not alowed to dress all day when temperature is high enough for being naked. This is code to keep non-naturist away from the resorts and campings. Most places have an exeption for the younh ones in puberty. Most resorts and campings alow kids from about 10 to 16 years of age to be clothed all the time due to puberty issues.

Speaking of nudists and dress/behavior, this kind of vintage photo almost puzzles me. This is a group of nudist women with their hair impeccably done up and styled. But they are buck naked. My own experience with nudism is that most women have their hair styled much more naturally. Obviously, styles have changed over the years, but most of the time the overall looks is "low maintenance". Hair in a ponytail, or with a hat, baseball cap, etc. But definitely not straight out of the salon.

I am brand new here, this is my first post. Her name is Jeanne Kirkwood and she was a prominent nudist from the 1960s. These are the best pics I have found of her. I know she was in the 1965 and 1967 Miss Nude Universe pageant. Any pictures or videos as well as relevant information would be appreciated thanks.

It was just the style at the time, as you mentioned. If you look at old ads from the 50s and 60s, housewives will be shown making dinner for the family with their hair in the same style. Everything was more formal. I like the "salon-look" in the old nudist photos. It somehow makes the women look more naked. ;-)

I cannot describe how much I enjoyed seeing all the men and boys staring at my lovely fully nude wife when we were nudists in the 1970’s and 80’s.
One early memory was her coming to the base of the stairs from our upstairs rented room when I was talking to several teenage boys I had met playing tennis. Fully nude, as comfortable as she could be and not self conscious at all, she came down to ask me about plans for dinner. As she stood there in her mid-20’s, the room got quiet as we all stared at her , then followed her up the stairs speechless. She enjoys being stared at too, and her legs parted a bit when she saw the tanned physically fit boys, and her hips had a slight swing to them as she walked back up the stairs
“Is she your wife?” one boy asked. I replied “yes, and asking about dinner is a signal to come upstairs to fuck. We have already had a light dinner”. I could have sold photos of her at the bottom of those steps to those boys for $100!
As I entered our rented room, she was on the bed spread wide and touching herself. “Did you see the way those boys looked at me?” she asked. I replied “can I invite them upstairs to see more?” . I think they saw everything, she replied. I was hard as a rock and we enjoyed a first class fuck, before going for a walk among other nudists who enjoyed seeing her, then returned upstairs for another suck and fuck.

That woman is a stripper in Tampa, Florida, ran in at least one nude race at a nudist resort, and makes videos where she usually does not appear nude, but there is one of her punching a guy in the balls. Or at least she was as of five or six years ago. Not a nudist though.
