Yes, because it was pro photography of pro models, for a commercial purpose. Technically, 95% of the pictures in this thread should be deleted because they are pro photos of pro models (not amateurs), but as you can see, I leave them up (whether another Mod or Alex takes them down in the future is another matter). I justify leaving them up because they look like they were taken for purposes of art. I deleted the calendar pics because I couldn't justify leaving up pro, commercial pics. :cool:

edit: I removed one pic from your last post for the same reason. It looked like it was from Playboy. Or, at least, it was airbrushed all to hell.

I have no dispute that the pics were of models and doen professionally. But they were calander pics
ment for public distribution and in a public domain. What I don't undersatnd is they were deleted, yet
my sexy ads in Sex Sells and Weekly Covered threads are allowed. Those pics are also not of amateurs
and are simular to the calander pics in that they name the company and ment for advertising.
Just wanting to know the difference?

Can you prove (I mean, do you have verifiable, 100% infallible proof) that those calendar pics were never, at any time, in or meant to be in, a calendar that was available for sale?

The difference between those calendar pics and the print ads is that you don't have to pay to see a print ad. When I said "commercial", I meant commercial as in "for sale", not as in "advertising". Basically, we're just trying to avoid copyright disputes here, and there's more of a chance of a copyright dispute if something is posted that was meant to be for sale, be it a pro pic from a pay site, a magazine, or, yes, a calendar, particularly if the subjects in the calendar are professional models, and if the point of the calendar was to turn a profit. Charity calendars with amateurs are another matter. If you have a link to where you found the calendar pics, by all means, you're welcome to post it. It's just not a good idea for them to be uploaded directly. And, like I said, you get away with a lot more in this thread than you probably should. ;)

I am trying to clarify what the mods consider as non appropriate OCC material.

The pro-am area can be subsejective with lots of grey areas.
I do appreciate letting my posted pics stay up on this thread.
