I took a couple of photography classes in college, largely to develop the skills to take good photos of my wife, then girlfriend. I didn't tell her that she was the motivation for my taking those classes. Fast forward, and after we had moved in together I got up the courage to ask to take some sexy, Playboy style pics in a black basque, stockings and heels. It took some convincing because she knew that the film would have to be developed and was concerned about exactly what this thread is about. I thought that was kinda strange because among other things, she had modeled lingerie at clubs and been in bikini contests where every Tom, Dick and Harry was taking pics. She did finally agree.


I had access to a darkroom at school, but there was no way I could chance that, so I decided to use a local photo lab and shoot slides. I had already shot a bunch of Playboy CFs onto slide by creating a little rig with my tripod and using the shutter release cable. I did this for two reasons. Firstly, it was awesome to see those CFs blown up on the wall, secondly, I wasn't really sure what my girlfriend would think of my magazines. Yes, digital existed btw, but I thought the quality sucked.

I had already had the CF stuff developed and picked it up without anyone saying anything, so in I went with my girlfriend's film. When I went back to pick up the slides I was sooo nervous and excited. I had been taking my film here for a couple of years. Most of what we shot at school was on slide, so that we could see each other's work and discuss it. The guys at this lab knew me. But I half expected them to say "sorry but we couldn't do that." Silly to have thought that. Anyway, I walked in and immediately one of the guys saw me, got my boxes and handed them to me without the blink of an eye. Relieved, I paid him and said "thanks." He looked straight at me, smiled and said something about hoping they turned out they way I wanted and see you soon.

No one there had ever said anything about what I had shot. I realize now that a ton of stuff went through those labs, a lot of much more explicit. But the thought of them looking at her, oh man. I was sure he had.

I remember when I was 19 my girlfriend of the time wanted me to take some naked photos of her, but i said i wouldn't as the lad in boots would get a good look at her gorgeous tits and bush and I was very jealous of the thought of her getting exposedti sine random lad.
