Could be high 40s or early 50s. The vast majority of which were in a 5 year period when I played in a rock band on the local circuit, and chicks were pretty much 'on tap'. They were pretty much all one-night stands, often knee-tremblers in an alley behind whatever bar we were playing in, in the band's van and so on. Hence the uncertainty over the number, I wasn't keeping count.

Back then, chicks weren't always putting out, so there were a lot of handjobs, blow jobs and general 'fooling around' over and above that number. Often, the need to get back home and back to the day job the following morning meant that potential or likely additions to the number were curtailed by a van leaving a bar at 1-2 am and travelling 5 hours. The luxury of being able to woo a girl for another 30 minutes to end up having sex simply wasn't there.

A case of sex or the pay check a lot of the time. And another couple of notches on the bedpost weren't worth a period of unemployment.

For all of that 'chicks only want the singer or the guitarists' thing, those of us in the rhythm section did pretty well out of it too, I have to say. Although the singer and guitarist were doing maybe even better.

Make a lot of noise in a band, add in the alcohol we'd all been consuming all evening and there was plenty of pussy on tap for everyone. Our manager (female) disapproved. I'm pretty sure what she saw back then traumatised her for life :D


I feel sorry for those pale specimens in touch with their feminine side in the deadly-serious 'woke' bands of today. You're up there on stage, playing songs that are all about the gender-bending experience of the non-specific gendered female lead singer, and couldn't even get laid on a chicken farm. Back in the 80s and 90s 99% of us knew we weren't gonna make it in the music biz, so maybe it was best to get what you wanted from the experience - as much pussy as possible.
