Those older folks in the somewhat "pensioners" resort of Clacton-on-Sea may be onto something by having their first WNBR ride at the height of the summer heat, and a full month after most of the other UK rides. The seaside town is only a 90-minute train ride from London, and with the right promotion and marketing could turn its ride into an annual mini-Brighton. It could have appeal to other UK riders who don't want to wait a full year to ride again, and might enjoy a nice naked ride by the sea during the summer heat. :)

Kudos to that one slender woman, who attracted most of the photog's attention, for really helping the cause by just showing up and showing it all. ;)

It was interesting to read that the local police will allow riding nude, but riders can only wear shoes, socks, gloves or hats if they have their genitals exposed. It's probably good they are waiting for hotter weather than early June, because riders like the "fake-fur coat girl" in Brighton last month might find themselves in legal trouble. :rolleyes:

On the other hand, that means the local constabulary is, unintentionally, guaranteeing a better view for all to see. :p

Let's hope this is the first of many increasingly larger Clacton-on-Sea rides, and that that one brave, center-of-attention, woman has lots more company and attention competition in the years to come. It's nice to have a new ride to look for a month after most are over.

By the way, bikers in the Eastern US can get ready for the big Philly ride on August 25th, 2013.
