Sad to think shaving pubes wasn't discovered till 1989.

If you look at this picture of the synthetic model it looks way faker. Also, there would be no reason for the FX team to give the model pubes and tanlines.

They are from the 1967 film The Oldest Profession (aka Le plus vieux métier du monde). It was film made up of a series of short vignettes about the history of ladies of the evening featuring some of the most appealing actresses of the time. :)
