Very much agree. Thanks for the series of pics. I think this girl should be granted the right to walk anywhere she wants painted up like this!

Still a few new shots (to me) about. Are there any more shots of these two purple cyclists about, the one in full paint has managed to miss me, until now!

This photo I took at the parade this year has generated some interest over at Flickr because of the photographer shown with his big Nikon D300. I wondered who this chap might be and if his pics are online. Well, some sleuthing and help from another Flickr member has suggested he may be the user who posted this pic at this link:

That would be him riding the back of a multi-directional bike, presumably for the purpose of getting lots of front - on shots of bikers on the road. Maybe a friend or assistant took that pic. Anyway, his Fremont galleries (Which are copyrighted) do contain a fair number of front-on shots of bikers that look like they could have been taken from the back seat of a bike.

I don't recall them, and they are tagged a bit weird, so maybe they are fresh. Note the awesome painting pics of that one purple painted girl that was very popular that year.

Just discovered this young lady - she simply stands out from the crowd. Amazingly cute and incredibly beautiful in such a natural way. Wonder if she realises just how special she is?

Anymore pics of this lovely "2008 Chocolate Girl?"

This girl (and there are better pics of her in this thread than here) really has had me fascinated and puzzled for a year now. A couple of things I have wondered about. Aside from the age question (I'm not going to go there......), there is this: For many years at Wreck Beach, there was a young nudist, the daughter of a regular, who was very special and very conspicuous all summer on the beach. During her prime years there she was probably 11-15yo. Wreck was her home and I watched her blossom there into a beautiful young woman. She was totally innocent, totally uninhibited and free, and completely at one with her nakedness in front of the throngs on the beach. She would dance around, run and play in the sand, talk to strangers, preen and show off without any pretense. And she looked just like the blue girl in this pic. She had this simple beauty about her that was so natural, and a confident poise often devoid of any smile. Its been haunting me for a while now, because she haunted me at Wreck just like the girl in this pic haunts me now. If it is the same girl, and the chances are probably not that good, I would be thrilled. I just wish there was a way to find out. Yes, she looks young! Like I said, lets not get into that! I mean, I cannot judge her age here and so it would not seem right for anyone to complain. So lets just say - she stood out at Wreck and she stands out here. To me, its the same girl whether in fact it really is or not. This memory I have of her at Wreck one afternoon, running full speed out to greet an incoming rescue boat at low tide, running for what seemed like forever until she practically disappeared into the sunset, will be with me forever. Don't get the impression I have any pedo tendencies or anything because I don't, but yeah, she was probably about 13 yo then. Most girls that age don't effect me too much, but when you combine nudity with that kind of playfulness, its something that sticks in your mind. I am sure she is different now, and who knows, may be covering up. So like any dad watching her daughter grow up, it kinda makes me sad to think about it. But hey, maybe she will "ride" again - at Fremont next year - and I might get up the courage to ask her who she is....if she is really that girl, that Wreck girl sort of reincarnated as a naked cyclist? Or am I like Jimmy Stewart in "Vertigo", an old man who is just seeing a lost love in every girl he comes across...

Now look what you started - I'm getting all misty eyed......:)

EDIT: I went through the Wreck thread because I thought there might be an outside chance of seeing a pic of the Wreck special girl. This pic below is as close as i got. i really don't know if this is her, but she looked a lot like this. Now if any experts want to try and match this girl below with the blue girl at Fremont - have at it!!

I reckon this gorgeous young lady is not so young as many imagine. She looks like a college student around 20 to 22. Many girls looked similar when I was a student.:cool:

She is exceptionally attractive because she is unspoilt and absolutely natural. Her beauty radiates without any make-up (apart from the body paint), just a simple hair style, no piercing, tattoos or ridiculous breast enhancements. Her natural feminine attributes shine through - both physically (without stating the obvious) and visually (she looks so damn sexy).;)

Ok difficult to conclude from just a few photos and a brief video appearance which is posted on the web. But I have a strong suspicion that I'm right. Unfortunately she will probably disappear and we will never know anything more.:(

hi guys, i noticed that, all of a sudden, the Alec Dawson Site is difficult to reach. nevertheless i found a picture of a photographer who just could be HIM !!

who knows.

should the problem persist, or get worse, i will try to zip the pictures i downloaded. i have 736 mb of the naked riders.

that is John Cornicello, a well known Fremont photographer. Match it to the pic below, then go visit his stream if you like.

I seem to manage to stay out of photos on the net for the most part. There have been some close calls, and a pic of my back at OCF can be found over at Coccozellas.

hello Klondike thanks for your remarks, i was just kidding of course. i know his webpages with hundreds of pictures but i have never found a method to download larger copies than 300 x 450 or so. the same goes for his stream at Flickr, merely thumbnails unfortunately.

i've been wondering about these gals on the mega-bicycle myself. i don't think that the tuxedo girl or the "cosmos" woman are from the same group, tho i could be wrong. i know for a fact that the ringleader...has been a ladybug as well as this yellow girl. I'm really curious about the other two...was one of them a ladybug? if not, anywhere else?

Where should I stand?
 

I'm going to the 2013 Fremont parade for my first summer solstice. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I should stand to get a good view of the bikers? I'd rather see them when they are stopped or at least riding slowly.

if you go to Gaswork Park which is where the ride ends, bikers will come in and stop, get off their bikes, pose etc. Thats the best place to be.

Also, as they leave the body painting area (I don't know where it is going to be yet this year) - that is also a good place to be.
