I contributed a couple of ours to your thread! Great idea!

I was vacationing at Cocoa Beach last summer. I had to run to the grocery, and out front of the store there were two sign-up tables close to the entrance. The booths were spaced out, but that is mundane. One of the was a little league football fund raiser, with the coach and a couple of boys. The other table was a cheerleading (for the football team) fund raiser and sign-up, and it was manned by the cheerleading coach and a couple of girls. They asked me to contribute and I said I would on the way out.

After getting my groceries I get in line behind the cheerleading coach. She was probably in her early 30s, stunning blonde, tan, and huge boobs. She was wearing an old green mesh football jersey, where the holes were not tight, a wider gap mesh (playing sports in florida in the summer is a bear, so airflow is needed). This allowed me to notice very quickly that she had no bra. You could easily see her nipples straining against the mesh. She had dark nipples and areolas. Very nice.

After I checked out I went over to their booth to contribute and talked for a minute. I hope my shades were as protective as I hope!

There's a clerk in a store in a local mall that is probably in her early 60's, near my age, that never wears a bra.
She's maybe 5'4" or slightly less, not bad shape, has good size slightly saggy possibly D cups and they are always swinging free under a t-shirt.

I came across this site by accident searching for info on braless and I thought this might be a good place to ask.

I need an honest answer please. I can see from some replies that obviously some guys like the look but yesterday I decided to take my dog for a quick walk and get some air. I didn't worry about putting a bra on to go for a quick walk. When I got home my mom said that I need to wear a bra from now on as girls without bras look like "I won't use the words she used".

I don't have large breasts but I guess it can be easily noticed that I'm not wearing a bra. Regardless of if guys like it or not, do you think it makes a girl look like a W*? Or is my mom over reacting kinda? I'm not topless or naked but she talks like I was

If it does, I have to rethink a lot of things!

Your mother is totally in error. A braless woman shows confidence being in her own skin. Never have I thought of her being w*ish. It usually has nothing to do about sex or sexuality, but more to do with comfort and confidence. The whole "Ban the bra" movement was to allow women to be free of any sexual connotations of wearing a bra or not wearing one.
Go with your comfort. If you wish not to have a bra on, then don't wear the damned thing.

After a conversation like that from your mother I'd guess you're particularly sensitive to people looking at you as you are walking braless.

Understand that all men, and I suspect most women, will look at every woman walking down the street braless or not but won't make sexual behavior judgements on breast positions in a lady's clothes.

If you're feeling good about yourself however you're dressed that will come through to the people you pass on your walk.

Wearing a bra or not will not be related to someone hitting on you or not, much less them forming an instant opinion on your sexual habits.

This is very true. It's all in how you carry yourself.
You will get lot's of attention from people noticing, but if you have your hair dyed bright blue people will notice that too, let THEM deal with it.

How old are you? It seems odd that a mother would have this conversation with an adult. Is she very religious or conservative?

I agree with others, it does not make you whatever your mom said, and I also agree about the confidence. Speaking for myself, I notice pretty easily when a woman is braless, regardless of her bust size. I think most guys will, but they are probably looking regardless. You might get a little more attention, but like others said, I don't think you will get a lot of people hitting on you. I understand your mother's sentiments, she is trying to be a protective mother. I feel like the human body is beautiful piece of art.

My wife is 41 and the conversations her parents try to have with her...you would think my wife were merely 14. Drives me insane.

IMO, braless is the new trend. I love it when I see someone braless. I havent thought they were wh*r*s or anything of the like. I will look and sometimes depending on the situation, will let them they are wearing a nice outfit, but not usually.

Where you wearing a loose fitting shirt? Was side boob showing? Do you have a pic to show us the outfit? Your mother may just be jealous that she cant wear w/o one or has no confidence to go braless. Are you in the south were people are more so in the bible belt?

No I wasn't wearing anything sexy at all. Was just a t shirt and no bra for comfort. I don't have large breasts.the only reason it's noticeable is because of nipples but I can't help that

I'd put more stock in the reactions you get from others. Maybe you like the looks, or maybe you don't.

People will always notice. As a guy, I can't help it!

I agree I see it becoming more normal. It is common for parents not to like when kids change what they consider proper attire. You are not the first or I am sure last generation to experience this. Be comfortable and have confidence in your body.

My wife has long pokie nipples......she goes braless about 90% of the time.

A month into dating this one girl, we went to the wedding of one of her friends. At this point we had made a lot, but so far clothes had stayed on. On the way back she was complaining about the bridesmaid dress being uncomfortable so she through a big t shirt on over top and undressed it, till she was wearing nothing but her underwear and that t-shirt. Her tits were an E/F cup and she was on the slimmer side of average, so her boobs were obvious in the shirt especially with the seat belt that kept working its way between them. The AC was also helping my situation as it was blasting right on her, but I wanted a little more action. So I told we could take a short cut back through the national forest. A couple weeks later after we had become a bit more familiar, she asked if I picked that bumpy road on purpose and I came clean. Yesterday, the 19yo down the street was walking to the creek to get her younger brothers. She has HUGE boobs and is very thin, looks way younger than 19, etc.

People were walking the opposite way, and she looked down then put her arms over her boobs. But when she got to me she uncovered them (I am sure it was just coincidence; she wasn't uncovering them just for me). I am normally not into women younger than 30 nor huge boobs, but I looked. I got a great story from yesterday. DW and I were at a restaurant at lunchtime for their $6 burger Monday special. We were seated outside on their patio, near the door to the main part of the restaurant. The only other party on the patio was a group of friends who looked to be in their 20s, mixed genders, ages and body types. They were having a rollicking good time until an unexpected shower started. I had to run to the car to roll up the windows, and when I came back the whole group was going indoors. One of the crowd as a tall, lean beauty who was on the upper end of the age group - maybe near 30.

When I first saw her coming toward me I thought that she wawsn't wearing a bra because her nipples were very prominent under her thin yellow top, and her tits were gently swaying as she walked. As she got closer, I changed my mind because I could see something other than flesh pressing through the top, and I decided that she must be wearing one of those "why bother" bras that hide nearly nothing.

But as she got within a couple of feet I realized that I was looking at her pierced left nipple and a bar that adorned it. No piercing on the right one that I could tell. I'll bet she was a C-cup, with just enough sag to match her 30-ish looking face. She had kind of dirty-blonde hair worn shoulder length. I loved it that she was so casually dressed in this large group of acquaintances. Too bad they went inside before that thin shirt got soaked.

She's just looking out for you but a lot of parents like to blow things out off proportion. It definitely does sound like she doesn't know how to say things nice, at least in that moment.

Ya, I can relate. For example, I am pro-breastfeeding, pro-free-the-nipple, etc, but for some really strange reason when a friend of mine was trying to nurse her baby and her nipple came into full view of a handful of people, I made some really off-the-wall comment that was intended to be nice but came out really, really mean and hurtful. I still feel guilty about it and it was over 20 years ago.

I guess I didn't know what to say because I was trying to be sincere, yet I didn't want people to think that I was a perv enjoying the view (even though I was), and I knew that my ex-wife at the time was jealous that I saw another nipple and she was going to take it out on me later (she was abusive), so the words that came out in that split second were not very nice. :(

Another example, when my sister and I were younger, I remember her boob falling out of her swimsuit. No one saw but me, but I knew she would be incredibly embarrassed if anyone else saw, so I let her know about it before anyone else knew. But, because I was scared of her getting mad that I saw it and I didn't want her to think that I was enjoying it, I made some stupid comment that came across as totally mean instead because I had to think up something in a split second.

Both of these incidents I still feel badly about and are not my normal character at all; not even close, but those are the moments that people remember, unfortunately. :(

I'm no psychiatrist but I can tell you this. Those two incidents probably bother you more at this time than they bother the ladies involved.
In any case, may I make a suggestion.
You have let the thing with your sister bother you for a long time. I assume you are still on speaking terms with her. Give her a call, tell her that you thought of the event and are embarrassed by way you acted when you were younger and stupider, and ask her if she remembers it and, if so, how she feels about it. I would guess she doesn't remember, but if she does, apologize and get rid of it.
If she doesn't remember it, your in the clear.
If she does remember it, she will probably laugh it off and she will appreciate the fact that you even got to that point.
I learned a long time ago that sincerely apologizing works every time.

If it works with your sister, you could try the other lady.

We shared a villa with some friends a few years back. The irt night we all jumped in the hot tub in our underwear (2M, 2F). The nest day we decided to get in again. Nonidea why but none of has swim wear with us. My wife decided she didnt want to get her only spare bra wet so took it off. Thankfully the other wife followed suit.

I must say I enjoy when I come across a sales assistant who doesn't see the need to wear a bra.

There have been two occasions where I have enjoyed this display -

1. On my way to get a coffee in the morning, I walk through a shopping centre. I always look in the stores to see what's going on. This one morning I looked into this empty store and could see from a distance the dark prominent nipples of the sales assistant. She was young, in her early 20's I'd say. It was a ladies shoe store so I had no reason to venture in, nor did I have the guts. On my return from getting coffee I did walk past again a bit slower and confirmed that she was indeed braless.
