At least she hasn't taken the ignorant* stance that other naturism devotees have voiced, here and elsewhere, that the WNBR should shun publicity and become a 'naturist event'.

*not understanding that WNBR is a public protest.

First pic

Lady G was tasked with having to shout at people to clear the opposing traffic I happened to be stood there while she was doing the shouting so I feel for her. So not a best time to take a pic. I participated this year for the first time and I thought London was a great success. As stated this is a protest and it should always happen in London and resist being moved to only happening in places like Brighton because thats where people would expect something like the WNBR to happen. This happens in the heart of the country between every institution and historical landmark amongst tourists from every corner of the earth (some places where this kinda of thing would never happen and perhaps should).
the beginning and the end of the ride is the biggest disappointment because of the mob of photographers. otherwise the ride was good. I'm tiring of the negativity expressed in some of these posts, we should be championing this kind of event and I have the utmost respect for those who dare to bare because judgment is by far the biggest fear in participating in something like this.
The girl who fell over was fine, I was behind her when she did and rode with her and the guy she was with for a while. As a photographer who has cover this event for many years it was an insight to partake and go the full monty. Snappers who think they have some sort of "right" and "wtf do people think they are doing taking part if not to be photographed?" well, only to a degree. After all the "photographer" isn't doing anyone a favour by being there, not nowadays. EVERYONE has a camera now and the streets were lined with cameras from start to finish. I can't imagine the amount of photos that were taken of this event that day. And it is those photos that will be shared amount the smaller circles that will bring more discussion and acceptance to the event and public nudity. I think only 2 photographers ever asked to take photos of the women I rode with and I was disappointed in the 'semi-pro' photographers (guys with large format SLR's and lenses) that were crouched down getting crotch orientated shots. I realise that on a site like this it caters for all sorts, but IMO its a cheap shot. And there are plenty of great shots of riders that celebrate they're nudity in some great poses where the girls know they are baring all and they are aware of the photographer and they look great.
It's true, if you want the best photos You need to partake. I shot the best stuff I've ever done and I'm reluctant to post it because I made many friends that day and I now know those subjects I have an even greater respect for them. It was seeing them bare all for the years I shot, that I ended up doing it myself.
Obviously for people who live abroad its a different story, I like looking at shots of the fremont parade and I'm glad there are shooters who cover that because I have yet to go.

Good post onedayimightwin, I agree!

As for "naturism devotees taking an ignorant stance" (Kempie) I have to say that I am a naturist myself but thoroughly approve of the WNBR, for the simple reason that I see the two as being completely separate things.

I'm sure some of the people who take part are naturists, in fact I keep telling myself I will do it one day. But I can't see many of my fellow naturists wanting to!
