picture quality deteriorating over the years

dont get me wrong, i am grateful for every picture and i admire the guts of the photographers
who take them at still growing risks for their health but having said this, after having collected naked bikeride pics since 2003, the quality of the pictures isnt getting any better. in the golden years of davinS06, clickr, cocofiji, Pedro, sl50az and the likes, most pictures were razorsharp and well lighted. the last couple of years it seems that more and more people use cellphone cameras and despite all the megapixels they put in the camera, the lens is only as big as a grain of sand. maybe it is my age and me losing eyesight but i regret this development. modern, comfortable technology cannot beat a good analog camera or even a digital one with a decent lightstrong lens. cellphone pics look good on your small screen but at resolutions of 5000 x 4000 they suck at full pc screen, just my twopence.
