Yeah, he's looking at Lorraine. He falls out of the tree, and in the original timeline, Lorraine's father hits him with the car and brings him inside. Marty screws it up by pushing George out of the way and taking his place, thereby instigating the revised timeline.

I knew that and all but wasn't clear on if it is her, since we don't see her face, but apparently, the script makes it clear that he's peeping into her house. I knew that Lorraine's dad hits him, but that didn't necessarily mean he was peeking at her and not a neighbor or the like.

That said, it makes sense and all. I just wonder now if that's Lea Thompson or if they had a body double. Given she did a topless scene in another film, and the panties scene in Howard the Duck, I don't get the impression she's the overly modest type, so I'd figure it's her, but I'm curious all the same.

I would guess it's her. She did FF sporting a lovely bush in All the Right Moves the year before BTTF

It's less likely that it is her than that it isn't, given that she is never seen to be looking out the window, and has no dialog in the scene. Doubles are routinely used for the stars, unless they have to deliver lines or be seen as being present, and usually both.

True, true, though it's possible they just didn't show the face since the reveal of young, hot Lorraine hadn't happened yet, and it could potentially spoil that development.

Can anyone prove details for a scene in the 1940 comedy Love Thy Neighbor? According to the TCM synopsis, Mary Martin loses her dress in a car bumping exchange between Jack Benny and Fred Allen. I haven't been able to find any further details or images regarding it. Has anyone seen the movie. Does the scene delivery a worthy EUF?

"Jack Benny (Himself) is preparing his New Year's Eve radio broadcast but takes time out to take his valet Rochester (Eddie Anderson) to meet his girlfriend Josephine (Theresa) arriving on a steamer. Fred Allen (Himself) and his sister Barbara (Verree Teasdale) are also enroute to the dock to meet Barbara's daughter Mary (Mary Martin), returning from a personal appearance tour in South America. Josephine is her maid. Their cars get involved in an accident and, in a bumping contest, Fred reduces Jack's old Maxwell to junk, and is taken to jail. Mary loses her dress in an accident and Jack offers to get her another one, but winds up being arrested for stealing. Barbara tells Mary that Fred is a nervous wreck because of Jack's continual slander of him on Jack's radio program. Jack hires the Merry Macs (Joe McMichael, Judd McMichael, Ted McMichael, Helen Carroll) away from Fred and Fred decides to go to Miami for a rest. Jack decides to open his radio program from Miami. They meet, have another brawl, and end up in jail again. The two are in a motorboat accident where both are knocked unconscious and Mary, in an effort to end the feud, tells Fred that Jack saved his life. They have dinner together at Fred's apartment and Rochester, whom Fred has hired away from Jack, appears and the feud is on again."
