thank you pennywiseguy, some things are getting so obvious in time that you tend to forget that there are newbees too. on the basis of a flickr name of a given photo you can retrieve the poster. a useful program is

" flickrfindertool ". most photo's here are posted with the original flickrname. mostly only 1 or 2 pictures of a gallery are posted. with the tool you can retrieve that gallery. there are also " funny" people who post pictures they retrieved from flickr or smugmug etc., resize or otherwise cripple the picture and post it under another name as their own. thats real funny !!
if the picture name ends with _b you can try to get a bigger one with _o or _k in the end.

again this works only for pictures posted on Flickr.

having said this, the pictures i post do not always have the complete flickr name when i have downloaded them with
Bulk image downloader in that case...tough luck
