I took a quick trawl through social media land, obviously with people running out to the sea at 5 in the morning, the quality of pictures leaves a lot to be desired. I found some tame close up ones of the St Andrews swim, and thought I would share them with you. :

Nice but reminds me of the epic enf nudity during the gisborne skinny dips. Probably the goat, so sad that it ended after 3 years due to troublemakers. Maybe we should start a petition to bring it back?

I think the two greatest of all time events are about to happen - tomorrow in Cambridge and then Friday in Burlington, both at midnight. Hundreds of naked girls for a few minutes tomorrow and then almost an hour on Friday. I know lots of tourists show up for tomorrow night.

I am pleading for some gutsy guy to get good quality still video of a run.

Long-time lurker but a first time poster here, and I've been swayed to do so due to being at the St. Andrews May dip on Monday and seeing it mentioned on here. Thought it would go a bit unnoticed as it usually does and nobody at SA sees it as a huge deal, but there seems to be an interest and seeing some girls I know being posted on here is a funny feeling.

If anyone has any questions about it I'm here, though I obviously don't want to give my identity away too much, but I was there.

do you know any of the girls who were photographed nude or partially nude for alXamy? if so, why did they decide to go nude when most girls wear a bathing suit, and what was their reaction to being nude in the media?

How many girls got fully naked and were they nude for long? Were they freely naked hands not covering pussy, or were they covering their fannies at all times?.

Was there buzz beforehand about nudity being a possibility, e.g. people joking about it or making pacts to get naked, or was it all totally spontaneous?

I fear my responses might be disappointing, but good to see there's interest anyway. I'll try to sandwich a few answers in here to avoid completely taking over a thread which people probably visit for photos.

@BareAll, I don't recognise many people from the alxamy pictures for some reason, at least fewer than I'd expect to know considering I know some of the others who have had photos in this thread. I think going nude is the sort of thing 4th years do mostly, being careless and knowing they're leaving soon. I heard nudity jokingly suggested a lot though, so it's not too surprising a few (including some non-4th years I knew) went all the way and seemed to really enjoy it. Alcohol helped too, though maybe not as much as you'd think.

@jidderman, there were a lot of hand bras around but I rarely saw any covering down there by fully nude girls. Not sure why. People seemed almost deluded with excitement by the time they'd gone all the way like that, whereas anyone just going topless almost seemed more apprehensive. Impossible to guess a number, but maybe around 5-10% of the girls dipping went fully nude at some point? Vague guess though. A few went for it when it became a bit quieter later on.

@Lucianado, I know a few people who have "pacts" to go naked next year with friends. It was joked about before, but I heard guys saying "nobody will actually do it" and stuff like that quite regularly. I think some of it was spontaneous, and I know some people turned up in coats expecting to sit on the side but joined in underwear, so the whole event feels a bit spontaneous. Not sure if the same goes for nudity.

Yes. The one in Cambridge is over very fast (just one lap), but the one in Burlington goes on for nearly an hour (many laps).

Thanks for the info. What interests me about this kind of event is not the small minority who are natural exhibitionists and will get naked with any excuse. It's the people who go planning to be conservative (or to sit on the sidelines completely) and end up saying "what the hell!" and taking off more than they expected - and what makes that happen. It seems to be a delicate mixture of factors: weather, who else is taking clothes off and what reaction they're getting, and so on. I've been in groups though where there was lots of excited talk about skinny dipping or similar, but when it came to it there was a complete anti-climax.

Did you get any sense of that, e.g. people you really wouldn't expect ending up at least topless?

of course we are all here for content. but i'm not sure the frustration that is had by some for discussion about events (including mods who sometimes delete if too much text starts appearing). i personally enjoy hearing info and can decide for myself if i feel they are genuine or not. h363 seems genuine and is obviously trying not to hijack the thread. i appreciate his info. not everyone is able or willing to take photos in these circumstances.

Thanks for posing some content, especially from a a white whale like Baker 13. It's a personal favorite, and it's always been a mystery why pics and video have been so hard to come by.

Also, I would just make a humble suggestion that drawn out accounts and Q&A belong in the Non-Fiction section rather than Photos. One could obviously just link to these forums from the relevant E&V thread. Some discussion is of course appropriate and desirable, but pages of text built solely around one or two users' particular appetites doesn't do much for anyone else, whereas pics and vids make the proverbial world go 'round.
