Ever consider getting married while you and your spouse are naked, with all your relatives looking on? Some Japanese couples have been opting for the 'Naked Wedding' version with great enthusiasm.

During the wedding banquet, both the Japanese bride and groom show up before the guests naked. Guests who attend their wedding can choose to wear clothes or to also be naked. A passionate Master of Ceremonies is usually also naked, while the bride and groom's parents and other seniors tend to be more traditional.

During a recent naked Japanese wedding, the MC encouraged guests to take off their clothes again and again, with most attendees proud of their audacious behaviour. The naked bride explained: 'we are young and pretty, why can't we do this?'

New reality show Bridezillas, which starts on WE this weekend, examines the American phenomenon of nice, regular, unassuming people turning into self-obsessed, hyper-demanding, tantrum-throwing terrors in the days leading up to their weddings.

To promote the show, WE held a wacky and mortifying publicity stunt this morning right smack in the middle of Times Square, in which a whole herd of ladies in wedding dresses all crowded around a giant wedding cake, then dove in, tearing into it with their hands and faces, looking for a check for $50,000 buried somewhere in the cake.

Since we strongly support any stunt that adds further humiliation to the experience of appearing in public on a hot day wearing a big ugly poofy bridal gown.

Filene's is known for its bargains on everything from fashions to home goods, but perhaps the store is most famous for its annual Bridal Gown Events when brides-to-be can save hundreds, even thousands of dollars on designer wedding gowns.

The dresses are non-returnable and most girls just strip down and change in the aisle to reap tremendous savings, but I have to ask, is this any way to buy a wedding dress?
