I'm having some issues with an external hard drive that's been consuming all my time... Any idea why a 320 gb hd is recognized by my computer as an 8 gb hard drive? help!!! Here are some more, btw... More to come...

Thank you all the posts. I would guess that it is a jumper issue on the external drive. If set to master move to slave. If the drive is already on slave try removing jumper period. Some drives I have had act this way in some enclosures.
