Is it me or has NAP less of an appeal now?
I guess once it was quite something.. I recall seeing photographs from some years ago thinking 'Wow' this is amazing but maybe the tinternet has done for it?

NAP used to involve two competitions: one for professional touring “feature” dancers, one for regular “club girls” that were your typical dancer at your local strip club. Back when there were 80 or so girls competing, about 3/4 would have been the club girls. Over the course of several years the ranks of the club girls dwindled and eventually disappeared entirely.

It’s not that I don’t appreciate the feature dancers, but NAP lost something for me when the club girls stopped attending. They were younger, less professional, and there was a bit more of an amateur, spring break, girls-just-wanna-have-fun vibe. These were not girls advancing their careers. They were just getting naked in the sun and having fun.

See pretty much the same changes. When I first saw NAP, it seemed to be a naturist type competition. We had similar events twice a year here at a resort in South Florida. Most of the women looked to be either members of the resort or ladies that came to relax and would decide to participate (basically amateurs). You had 'natural' looks to the ladies.


Over the years, it became an event for dancers. And even more recently, it's nothing but silicone, metal and ink.

Does anyone know her stage name or year she attended?

This pic is from 2004, and she also attended in 2005. I don’t have her name, but she was a part of the contingent from the Lumberyard, a DesMoines, Iowa club that sent around 20 girls from 2003-2005, and a smaller contingent for a couple years after that. That was back when regular club strippers attended to promote their clubs, as opposed to just feature dancers—as I was describing a few posts above.
